WHAT: Students and Teachers are cleaning brooms for the surrounding community in attempt to raise funds. Crazy hijinks ensue when the 4th wall is promptly broken.

[There's a man who's really sticking out like a sore thumb peering up at the castle with something like awe on his face. His choice of clothing (regular Muggle clothes) made him stand out from the crowd even more.

He's not exactly here to get a broom fixed; he's more interested in checking out Hogwarts. Phil has heard a lot about this school even from across the Pacific, and it's his first time stepping foot in the place. While he may have enjoyed his own wizarding school back in the States, there's just something so cool about learning magic in a real, ancient castle. It's really just as majestic and exciting as he's read about it.

Of course, he's here for far more important reasons than sight-seeing. In the bag he's slung across his shoulder is a mysterious file something very important he'd like Dumbledore to sign...]

[The Administrator had always known that Miss Pauling was a witch. Things kept disappearing, situations cleaned up that little bit too quickly... Most would have just blew it off as nothing- Pauling was careful about using her magic and how much to use- but most were idiots compared to the lady in charge.

So naturally, when Helen had found out and approached Pauling about her magic, she had found a way to use it for her own good.

With her ways, she had found out about this 'open day' and had quite promptly given Miss Pauling a plane ticket and sent her on her way to England with the intention to find what information and spells that this renowned school may have. What weapons they may have that they could use.]

I can only assume that this is your first time, too?

[All in purple, her mid-length dress, a hoodless, velvet mantel, and witch's hat prove that Pauling fits in quite well; she does begin to stick out as she approaches Phil from behind though. She had aimed to fit in, but that seems to be futile next to this man.

Pauling wouldn't usually give much care into conversing with people outside of her given path, especially if there's little chance of her benefiting from the chats... But it's hard to let a sore thumb go un-checked.

Plus, she can't help feeling as if there's some other agenda he has, other than sight-seeing.

It takes someone seeking something to tell someone seeking something, and she's sought out many things in her work.]

[Dean didn't know why he was here. He hated flying, and he wasn't a teacher anymore. Maybe it was to reminisce, or maybe to see what seventh years were legal.]

[Honestly, he would have much preferred apparating than flying here. So much simpler. Less strain on his butt. But what can you do?]

[The man wandering around the school grounds today is a bit hard to miss. He's tall and relatively well built, with dark skin. What's most striking, however, would be his eyes- both completely dully opaque and one color. His right is blue and his left is red. In one hand is a broom, underneath the same arm is a cat carrier, and he's trying to read a letter while muttering in French. His wand is stuck in one of his suspenders, which is openly visible from his open robe.]

[What. Suspenders are fashionable.]

[He doesn't seem to be paying much attention to where he's going, either, and he doesn't much care about it.]

[Georgia is holding broom wax and she is ready to clean some brooms, since she was pretty much expected to, being on the Quidditch team and all.

But it was dreadfully boring doing charity. Come bother her.]

Of course this kid has absolutely no complaints. After all, the castle is the coolest place ever, with all of its talking and moving paintings and moving staircases and everything else this place has to offer. He could honestly care less about the fundraiser; he's slowly drifting away from the crown in favour of exploring.

[ As someone who has broken the fourth wall already once, Jade is very attuned to ending up in weird places. However, when she takes a tumble onto the front lawn, she is hardly expecting to end up at a giant castle surrounded by brooms and strange people.

For anyone observing things outside of the two white dog ears on her head and the green yukata, Jade's also complete with a black collar around her neck, etched with: 31BB ]

[Molly is running around the grounds in her super hero outfit, a security shirt, rubber gloves, and a blanket turned cape, while occasionally yelling things like WHERE AM I? and THIS PLACE IS SO COOL! because she is a little girl and very excitable.]

[Whoa, jeez, someone's lost their parents. Looking amused, Artollo draws himself down in a crouch. The cat carrier tucked under one arm is secure, so he doesn't worry too much about it.]

Thome fundraither thing. Didn't you pay attention, kid?

[Karkat has his sleeves rolled up but at the moment he's not cleaning any brooms. Guess who decided to take a little break? That's right. The redhead swipes his arm over his forehead before giving a sigh. He's not a Hufflepuff, but he does decent hard work.]

[Rose Lalonde has come to expect many stupid things interrupting her in life, but being uprooted (again) and thrown into a completely different location wasn't one she'd immediately thought of. hadn't the Medium been enough of an upheaval?

apparently not, because here she was in what looked like something straight out of a Harry Potter movie set and no familiar markers in sight. if she were a less mature girl it would be enough to make her want to scream.

instead she simply crosses her arms and stares moodily up at the castle as if it were responsible for everything ill that had ever happened to her. she intends to set out and question the people on the ground rigorously, but for the moment she just wants to get her feet back under her.]

This is Korra about to give up in frustration because she has no sense of delicacy when it comes to broom cleaning. There's a small white cat sleeping in the grass next to her as she throws her rag down, crossing her arms and legs and blowing hair from her eyes with a huff.]

The tall witch in dark robes striding through the halls has exactly one destination: the astronomy tower.]

[This guy was striding right toward her, now he's sort of half frozen in the middle of the hall. He's staring at her with a panicked, deer in the headlights look. He isn't going out of his way to bother her, but there is no way he's going to ignore her. He sputters a bit, not managing to say anything of worth before bowing his head in greeting.

[Brooms have little interest to Chiara. They're shaky, uncomfortable and destroy any attempts at a good hairstyle. Apparating is best, and even those muggle cars aren't so bad. More comfortable at least.

So it's easier to find her inspecting the greenhouses, making notes of plants she'll need to find over the summer break.]

[No complaining about broom cleaning from this Seeker. Coraline has actually been enjoying seeing what kind of brooms people have been bringing in. Some have looked to be practically antique and some people had some pretty slick looking custom ones too.]

[Charles isn't into playing Quidditch, but to keep their status in the pure-blood community, his wife's sent him to get some brooms cleaned before donating them.

With how Melissa's been... acting recently, he's not going to say no to her (or ever, really). At least with what she's asked him to do this time, he's happy to see the smiling faces of the children here.]

He may look quite similar to someone you know though, Coraline. But that's only by genetic coincidence.]

[In all the hustle and bustle of new people and broom cleaning, this classy lady seems to be taking her sweet time strolling the grounds and staring fondly at the castle, as if it stirred lovely childhood memories.

That is unfortunately not the case, as she actually attended Beauxbatons Academy and this is only part of a handful of times she's set foot in this school. But it's still quite nice. No matter where she's found Ms. Lalonde is nowhere without her ornate silver flask and occasionally a well-kept broom in her hand. It doesn't actually need cleaning but what kind of mother would she be if she didn't do her part to support her child(ren)'s school?]

[So the sun is setting, and this decidedly suave motherfucking has appeared out of god knows where. (If anyone had been paying to a large bat that looked decidedly blue, they would have noticed that the bat landed at the very place this man had stepped out from.)

A less observant person can see that he is beyond deathly pale, and right in the "so pale he's obviously a walking corpse" skin tone. Someone more observant than that might take note of his red eyes.

Regardless of what you do and do not notice about him, Finas strides with purpose, back straight and pace even. He doesn't actually have a place in mind or a place to be, but sometimes it's nice to socialize with humans when you're not trying to eat them.]
