WHERE: Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry; Broom cleaning is on the front lawn, but feel free to wander!
WHAT: Students and Teachers are cleaning brooms for the surrounding community in attempt to raise funds. Crazy hijinks ensue when the 4th wall is promptly broken.

[No complaining about broom cleaning from this Seeker. Coraline has actually been enjoying seeing what kind of brooms people have been bringing in. Some have looked to be practically antique and some people had some pretty slick looking custom ones too.]

[Charles isn't into playing Quidditch, but to keep their status in the pure-blood community, his wife's sent him to get some brooms cleaned before donating them.

With how Melissa's been... acting recently, he's not going to say no to her (or ever, really). At least with what she's asked him to do this time, he's happy to see the smiling faces of the children here.]

Think you've got some time for another broom, kiddo?

He may look quite similar to someone you know though, Coraline. But that's only by genetic coincidence.]

[Coraline looks up and is startled. She knew there was no way this guy was her father but still..the resemblance was pretty high. She gave the guy a smile.]

"Sure thing sir!"

[She takes the brooms from him and gets to work.]

"I hope this doesn't sound weird or anything but I gotta say, you look just like my Dad."

[She tilts her head and regards him carefully for a moment.]
"You seem a little more...put together somehow though. My Dad is kinda absent minded."

((OOC: Oh man, it's perfectly okay! Her real parents are back-at-home Muggles and don't come up that much aside from when she's home. ^_^ It is pretty rare to find other players from Coraline (or any of Neil's work actually) so I get excited when I find other canon players!))

My wife says that about me. [He says it jokingly, but it's true. If he ever does something wrong, he'll soon know about it.]

((ooc; Muggle-born Coraline makes a lot of sense! I couldn't imagine her regular parents being wizards for some reason. They're just too... muggle-ish.

I'm usually always about, but mostly over at bakerstreet or route_29. Sadly both places lack any Gaiman muses. Although, Neverwhere muses have started popping up in Bakerstreet and dear_mun occasionally. It's really nice to see!))

At the shapeshifter comment Coraline startles a little. She knew there were potions to do that but she forgot all about wizards who could change their appearance at will.
"Huh..I guess I've been away from home too long to recognize the accent. We moved here just a few years ago."

The shapeshifter of their 'family' would be Melissa. That woman knows how to brew up a mean polyjuice potion; it's kind of scary how well she can prepare it.

"I miss the lake. We used to go on weekend trips to Lake Michigan whenever my parents didn't have to work."

He nods, remembering his home and bringing a soft smile to his lips.
"'Little shared house called the Pink Palace. Best garden I've ever had to work with." There's a lot more you can do to a garden with magic... as long as the neighbours didn't see. It wasn't like Bobinski wasn't a wizard or anything, so it didn't matter if he saw.

"Did'ya swim in it?" He's genuinely interested. "'Sounds like a beautiful place."

Adventure Time? You might like the Adventure Time/Coraline crossover picture I'm currently lining, then. We were streaming Coraline the other night and someone brought up 'Adventure Time with Cora and Cat', so I had to draw it.

I like your theme; it's simple but works. I need to watch more Adventure Time, actually. I've been meaning to, but I never get around to it.

I'll probably moan about food at some points. I'm on this Candida diet thing and... ugh, I can eat so little. It tends to come under the rants section of my Plurk. |D))
