We're gonna rock out with our--
WHO: Everyone!
TONE: Light
RATING: PG13
WHEN: July 12th - 15th
WHERE: The Music Festival in Aberdeenshire
WHAT: Muuusic!
STATUS: Ongoing!

Ah, the sound of music. It's not always a pretty sound- definitely not. While there are plenty of good bands at the festival, there are also plenty of pretty awful ones trying to make it big. But that's okay, because it's still a good time! Look at all of those stages, look at all that festival food. Four days of music, fun and awesomeness! So walk around, enjoy the music, maybe enter the singing competition they have each day.
But wait! Even if you aren't musically inclined, guess what? Shortly after arriving, you begin to feel the sudden urge to sing, too, even if you might sound like a dying whale. Eventually the urge is going to get so great that you just have to break out into song. Or you might just sing randomly throughout the day, if you give into the feelings. It really depends on your willpower! Either way, you will sing. It looks like all the spells used to make this happen have had unintended side-effects.
That won't stop you from having fun though, right?

Day One

The feelings seem to strum up a rhythm in him, something undeniable is trying to escape his lips. He doesn't know whether it's simply a good mood triggered by good music or a consequence of allowing himself to discover disney movies, but his song choice seems to be an indication of both.]
I'm gonna be a mighty king, so enemies beware! [Don't mind if he elbows you, he's really getting into this.]

Well, I've never seen a king of beasts with quite so little hair!

Thor would find the older boy draping one arm over his shoulder moments later, gleefully singing the next line. To be honest, when it comes to Keith... it's probably nothing to do with the magic infusing the festival, and more utterly down to Keith himself.]

With the accident still a relatively recent thing for her, it's disconcerting to be walking through the festival, seeing, knowing that there is so much more going on that she can't experience and being completely cut off from it. It makes her feel even lonelier than she did staying back at her tent and she's about to just turn around and head back in that direction when she bumps up against someone]
Oh! Thor. Sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going. [She gives him an apologetic smile, pushing hair out of her eyes.]

It's funny, all of these degenerate hippies with filthy hair remind him of a simpler time. A time when he thought greasing his hair and strumming a guitar would surely win him the hearts of any attractive bypassers. So young. So stupid. So devilishly handsome. Some things never change.
In any case, he finds himself immersed enough in the festival to hum to himself as he wanders about the sidelines. If you bump into him, you may be greeted with a song. For now? He's just muttering sea shanties to himself.]

His arms are full of shitty festival souvenirs and tshirts when he does find Murdoc, and he casually bumps into him from behind to get his attention.]
Don't think I didn't hear that.

He springs back as if burned and loses his balance completely as his heel catches on a tuft of grass. Mituna hits the ground with a muffled grunt and winces, hissing out a string of vitriolic curses before looking up.]

Of course he said yes.
On stage three the band was in full swing and Marshall was happily playing away and doing back up vocals. The band starts up a more hardcore version of Screaming Dead's Creatures of the Night
He also had absolutely no shame in using his powers of compulsion (just a little bit!) to drive the crowd wild either.]

She doesn't yell or scream (how unladylike!) but she does clap as loud as she can. Until her hands sting a bit.]

Jane's standing near a particular vendor as they arranged. Dad wasn't too keen on the idea, even if she's perfectly safe from assassination attempts. Jane wishes she could better vouch for Nick's moral aptitude or whatever it might be that Dad objects to, but to be perfectly honest she isn't quite certain that she knows him well enough to be able to. He's at least nice enough to consider her dateable, though, so that's...something, right? And really, she's put her best effort into looking presentable, so maybe things will go better than she expects!]

Needless to say, despite all of his cool guy airs, he’s a little nervous. It’s not like he hasn’t dated or gotten anywhere with girls before, but Jane isn’t quite like the girls he generally takes out and he’s well aware of that. Whatever. He’s got this. The music festival was a great idea, it’s all pretty damn casual and if it gets awkward they can just split like it ain’t no thing.
Like Jane, Nick has dressed himself up a little too. In fact, they seem to have gravitated toward similar blues. He’s wearing a white suit with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, a blue shirt that’s a little open is peering out from under the white jacket.
He catches sight of her and begins to approach, hell she already looks adorable. She’s the opposite of his type but goddamn if she isn’t changing his mind on that one. He half smiles once he swaggers over, raising a hand in greeting.]
Lookin’ good there, doll.

It was better just to stay here. That way, perhaps if a friend happened on by she could convince them to come inside her tent and chat, maybe read some manga and have a snack. Then that way this trip wouldn't be entirely rotten]
Sorry I'm late!
Hi Meulin. [He wraps both arms around his legs and leans forwards. Mituna's feeling a bit out of place here too, so they can just be oddballs together.]

As soon as he hears what Bro is singing, he starts practicing a poker face of his own, and moving toward the edges of the crowd.]

But it's better than being home, better than feeling indebted over things he doesn't even understand. Or it had been better, before the song had started to bubble under his skin. His voice isn't terrible, but it's nothing spectacular, the words of this particular song coming out rough, unpracticed (he hasn't sung, even to himself, in a long time, not since the days when he'd spent some time singing hymns. He's not sure he's comfortable with this, but he opens his mouth anyway, letting the words out and hoping no one's close enough to overhear him.]
But just because it burns doesn't mean you're gonna die. You've gotta get up and try, and try, and try.

Right now, though, he's found himself uninterested in any of the bands, and at something of a loss with what else to do with himself- buying souvenirs or food doesn't appeal, but neither does leaving to head somewhere else. So he's wandering around the festival instead, watching people, and humming little bits of all the songs that are stuck in his head right now. It's turning into a pretty weird mashup at this rate.]

Now though? There's downtime and she's keeping herself preoccupied with tuning her violin. Still, lyrics go through her mind and she taps her foot every so often. She hasn't devolved into humming but it's getting pretty hard to ignore it.]
