WHAT: Consider it a "we survived the first week of school" party

Dean and Marshall discussed throwing during the first weekend back at school. And guess what? They are. It was Dean's task to handle invites, which he did--to students in the fourth year and up, save for the Prefects and the Head Boy/Girl. The invites also instructed students to come to the party alone; groups of loud students would be suspicious! There are spells cast to make the classroom sound proof.

There's also an entrance fee of ten sickles. Seem a bit extreme? You're paying for quality. There's great music and a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.



(OOC Note: Many of the Ravenclaws invites (with the exception of Tony's) insinuated that this was in fact a study session. Not a party. Surprise!)

[Was somebody pissed off at having to pay an entrance fee? You bet your ass they were. But she heard there was booze there and that made it worth it, even if grudgingly. Because she hasn't had a drink since Summer and that was just so long ago.

So the drinks desk is exactly the first place she heads. When she sees Dean, she shoots him a glare.]

The booze better be worth the fucking price.

[Sup, Dean? Here comes your favorite roommate, carrying a case of beer and looking like he just walked out of an 80s music video, what with his bright red sneakers, sock scrunched down around his ankles, a huge neon orange shirt hanging off his shoulders, and of course - a big poofy purple skirt.]

[The case gets thumped onto the table]

[Upon entering the classroom, Shinra makes his way over to Winchester and bows his head respectfully.]

Hello! I don't think we've met, but thank-you very much for your invitation. I'm Shinra Kishitani. Fourth year Ravenclaw.

[Have a dude in clown make-up, a t-shirt, and a purple crinoline, for some god unknown reason, wandering up with a flask in his hand. His pupils are blown and his path is a little erratic - Gamzee is even more unmistakably himself than usual tonight.]

Woah! Motherfucker, you is all orange and yellow and red like a motherfuckin' Guy Fawkes conflagration!

[Tony comes over, with a large grin on his face, glancing at the booze before looking at Dean.]

Since when do school parties need a cover charge?

[Suddenly there is this weird blue thing floating through the wall.

And then there's a small gasp.]

[ That was an invitation to a study session. This was not a study session. It was about 222.2% cooler than that, but an expert might give you a more accurate number. He stuck around anyways, because it didn't seem like there was anything to do, and if people still had anger boners for his entry is there anything better than to solve it in person? He's sitting by a wall, just watching everyone get drunk while holding a glass of water. ]

[He's just going to make his way over to stand next to Sollux. Off on the sidelines. ]

[Yeah he was also not expecting the study session to be something other than that. He decides to also wallflower and watch idiots act like idiots, since he's not even going to touch the booze if he can, because man he's not gonna make a fool of himself at all if he can try to avoid it. So, he walks on over to a wall, leans against it casually, then looks over a hair.

Shit he's standing next to Sollux. He's just gonna. Take a sip of his water.

Concert Time!

[Marshall had set everything up for his show ahead of time. Instruments have been tuned and charmed, a Sonorus charm also cast for maximum volume level and the set list has been decided. At some point after a good number of people began trickling in Marshall decides that it's show time. The Sonorus charm had been cast on the guitar to pick up both the tunes and his voice. He slings the guitar over his body, clears his throat and literally turns on the charm.]

"Hey Hogwarts! We've survived the first week so far but now it's time to party! Enjoy."

[He begins to play and sing and he's awesome. And he won't lie..he's totally using a bit of his vampire charm to draw peoples attention to him. What can he say? He loves playing and he loves attention. He plays this complete set:

[Marceline had been a bit wary about coming to this party after the way she'd reacted to the common room during the Ravenclaw's stay with the Slytherins, but so far it wasn't too bad. Some friends were there, and she concentrated on them instead of the room as a whole. She leaned against a wall, one hand in a pocket of her jeans and the other wrapped around a cup of non-alcoholic beverage, watching Marshall's set and generally avoiding being dragged out onto the dance floor.]

[After his set is over with Marshall makes his way over to say hi. He digs into his pocket and produces a pair of ear plugs.]

Ta-da. Present for you m'dear. Just put one in and it'll help with the noise a little. [He moves his hair away from his ear to show he already has one in.] It was a bit loud up there for me too.
[He smiles and slumps against the wall.]

Certain events. Just. Certain events... he's going to try to find someone else to talk to, case in point... hey it's Marceline!! This'll turn out for the best. Yep.

He's still so drunk and everything that he's going to just casually lean up against the wall next to her, taking a sip of his completely alcoholic drink. Just... gonna stay as casual as he can right now. ]

[So, it's kind of hard to tell why Gamzee does things. So there's no real explanation for why he shows up in his normal face paint, a casual t-shirt with the ICP logo on it, and a purple crinoline. His legs sticking out from underneath are covered in striped knee-high socks, and his old ratty sneakers over those, but what can be seen of the skin of his legs is pale and sort of hairy. It's pretty much the most unsexy attempt at cross dressing ever, though Gamzee himself seems to not even notice he's wearing anything weird. He just gets himself a drink and chills, leaning against a wall casually.]

[If it helps any, Maxim walked in shortly after him, looking like he'd just walked out 80s music video, what with his bright red sneakers, sock scrunched down around his ankles, a huge neon orange shirt hanging off his shoulders, and of course - the big poofy purple skirt, though his was much shorter. This was obviously a joint effort.]

[He's just gonna stand here with his arm around Gamzee's waist, enjoying a brew of his own]

[Tony comes over, swirling his drink as he does. Looking Gamzee up and down he shakes his head.]

[Marshall chuckles to himself at the outfit but it suits the other boy so it's all good. He plops himself next to him against the wall and also relaxes.]

[Entrance fee? Psh, no problem. And now Alfred's meandering through the crowds, walking with a self-assured gait and hands in his pockets under his robes. He's grinning and obviously happy, but while he's not wallflowering he's also not sure where he should be. Hence the idle wandering~]

[Tony comes into the party after dropping a Galleon to get in. He makes a beeline for the drinks an gets himself a tall drink before standing off to one side with a grin. He's looking snazzier than normal, a burgundy button down shirt and pressed slacks.

Tony's standing in a very practiced manner, from his years of SI gala's when he's there in the summer.]

[Maxim's there, flitting from person to person in a big, poofy purple crinoline skirt, a neon orange shirt that's falling off his shoulders, and bright red sneakers. He even has his socks pushed down around his ankles like leg warmers! All he needs is a side ponytail to really complete the total 80s vibe he's got going is a side-ponytail (quick, someone get him a scrunchy!)]

[After a while, though, he just stopped and found a place to sit down, watching everyone with an utterly content look on his face.]

[Because she's a grade hound, Victoria didn't think twice about the study group and had shown up with books, and not at all dressed like she should be ready for a party. Which is a simple pleated skirt, white knee socks, and a white blouse. Her hair in it's usual twin tails.

She had given up her sickles, feeling a little harassed about it. Right now she's up against a wall looking very unpleased. But she gave up money and felt like it would be a giant waist without staying for at least a little while.]

[Roxas had originally not planned on going to the party. He wasn't really a huge social animal, more interested in sports than other people, but when Greg had mentioned wanting to go and not being able to afford it, he offered to pay for the cover charge. It couldn't hurt, and it wouldn't make him feel like an awkward wallflower. Not that he wasn't doing that anyway. Roxas was standing near the refreshment stand, hand wrapped around a glass and surveying the room.

Looked like he was doing the awkward wallflower thing anyway.

[Greg hadn't been keen on going, but upon hearing that some of his friends might be attending, had decided that he needed to attend just to make sure nothing went wrong or blew up in their faces. Roxas' offer made life easy and found both the boys at Dean's party. Greg enjoys a party every now and then, but he's steering clear of the alcohol.

Spotting Roxas hugging the wall, he immediately headed over to check on the younger teen.]
