WHAT:  After this Murdoc realised the children (and staff) of Hogwarts were in dire need of swimming lessons.
STATUS: Ongoing

[GATHER AROUND CHILDREN it's a warm summer day and the lake is perfect for diving into your sudden but inevitable deaths. You should all be dressed in your swimming trunks (which you clearly have don't even lie) because Murdoc sure is. He's determined to conduct this in the best manner he can, though he wasn't quite expecting the turn out to be so large. People who can swim are welcome to become his assistants because he could probably use the help.]

Hello Tony!

[Shinra's just going to walk up and crouch next to where Tony's situated himself, beaming at the other boy as he does so.]

It's good to see you again!

[arrogantalloy]

[Tony opens his eyes and looks up at Shinra through his glasses. Giving him a grin as he recognizes him.]

Shinra, hey there.

You know, I almost missed you this summer.

[Tony's grin grew more, obviously teasing. Then he sits up.]

How was your summer?

[Shinra grins right back as he settles himself on the grass.]

That's kind of you to say. I imagine you were very busy.

My summer was fairly interesting. How was yours? What did you get up to?

[arrogantalloy]

You'd think, but not really.

Me? Just went to New York like always, took some friends this time though. And I installed my roadsters engine and attached the body.

[He grins at shinra]

Did you get up to science?

I did! I also tried taking up taxidermy, which I suppose is a manifestation of science. But that didn't go very well. And Gamzee visited me in August which was very pleasant.

How did you enjoy New York this time? I imagine it must have changed since the last time you visited.

[arrogantalloy]

You try and find some weird things to do with your time, there. Taxidermy. Wow.

[Tony grins at the mention of Gamzee]

Makara, huh? Get up to any kind of 'experimenting' there?

[Oh yeah, that one's open to so much interpretation.]

Nothing was happening at Madison square this year. And because I took friends this time I didn't have to show up to any gala's or fundraisers. So really that was a bonus.

That does sound like it would be a relief. What did you end up doing? I've heard that New York has some fascinating museums. Did you visit any of them?

[He then shrugs, continuing to smile amiably at the other boy.]

Is taxidermy weird? I thought a basic knowledge of reconstructive arts might be useful if I'm going to become a healer. I probably didn't commit to it as well as I should have, but it was an interesting summer nonetheless.

[He pauses for a moment, contemplating Tony's question. ]

I suppose I did. It was a spontaneous, informal experiment if anything.. but I do think it was probably a form of experimentation nonetheless.

Went to an art museum. We did a lot of touristy things. Most of them hadn't been to New York before. Thor and I probably raided all the hotdog vendors in the upper east side.

Yeah, but you want to heal people, not Poe's raven. And I really hope you were wiring up birds and badgers instead of people.

[He raises an eyebrow.]

Okay, that was vague enough. What experiments were going on?

[He beams at Tony as he recounts his adventures in New York.]

It sounds like you had an excellent time. And accomplished quite a lot. Are there many hot dog vendors on the upper east side? I imagine there would be. Otherwise, I don't think you would have thought it worth mentioning. Especially given Thor's appetite.

[He tilts his head slightly in response to the raised eyebrow, but continues to smile.]

I consumed a mind altering substance. It was a very interesting experience. I'm not entirely sure I would recommend it though.

And it was a lizard. I don't think I'm anywhere near skilled enough to restore a human. And I'm not sure I would want to.

Not as many as in Brooklyn. But hey, we made a day of it.

[Tony gives a long low snerk.]

Only you, would phrase weed use like that. Guessing it wasn't as fun for you as Gamzee would describe it? What was it, ninja's on the lawn, bugs crawling on your skin, world in slow motion?

You're not wanting to string up a human, suddenly restores a lot of my faith in scientific endeavors.

Wouldn't eating that many hot dogs make you sick? I've read that they often include some very questionable ingredients. But then again, if anyone could spend an entire day eating hot dogs on the upper east side of New York, I think it would be you and Odinson.

[He looks over at the snerking, emitting a quiet laugh in response.]

I didn't hallucinate. I just thought about things differently for the most part. In fact, at one point, I was fairly sure I'd reached enlightenment, but in retrospect, that probably wasn't the case.

Well, it was spaced out of a whole after noon. And no, not really. Shinra, the whole point of eating a hot dog is it's questionable ingredients.

Well, that's, uh. Kind of. Really disappointing for you. But you're right there, probably wasn't enlightenment.

[Tony grins at the thank you.]

Yeah, Shinra. Anytime.

[His eyes might be widening just a bit. Because he is very amazed right now.]
Really? That's even more impressive! Doing it over the space of an afternoon would have given you much less time to recover between hot dogs.

[He shrugs, smiling contentedly.]

Probably not. But I think that it was still an enjoyable experience, all things considered.

Not really, we had to walk to each one, and Thor probably has a portal to another dimension in his throat.
