WHEN: The day of September 2nd for the train, and at night for the feast!
WHERE: Hogwarts Express/Platform 9 3/4 and The Great Hall
WHAT: Gotta get back to Hogwarts! Back to witches and wizards and magical feasts! Students and teachers are finally heading back to school on the Hogwarts express, and with the new school year means sorting for the first years!
STATUS: Ongoing!
NOTE: There is a thread for the Train back to Hogwarts, and the Feast, with a subthread for the Sorting! First years can comment to be sorted, and everyone else can greet their new house mates/students!

[Marshall has claimed the empty compartment across from Marceline's. He has also drawn the shades and has a guitar case in the empty seat next to him. He unpacks it and messes around with tuning it for a bit to take his mind off of how weird it feels to be going back to Hogwarts after so long. He stares out the window and zones out for a bit and begins strumming the guitar aimlessly begins softly singing to himself a bit too. His voice is sexy rich and melodious. Yay for generations of practice. Feel free to bug the new guy or even sing along.he'd love it]

[Nepeta is passing by when she hears the music come from his compartment. She stops in her tracks, looking at the closed door with the shutters and listens for a while, trying to see if you can tell who it is]

[He can hear you of course but hey, he'll play along. He stops playing for a moment and opens the door, peers out and smiles at the cute girl standing there.]

I thought I saw someone standing out there...you're Nepeta right?

[Whoops! She looks a little embarrassed to have been caught but she returns the smile]

Sorry, I didn't mean to eavesdrop but that sounded amazing. [She nods] That's right. Marshall? Marshall Lee?

[Aww. No need to be embarassed Nepeta. He's the most social vampire ever.]

Oh, you're not eavesdropping. It's kinda hard to miss it..and thanks! [He nods back/] Yeah, that's me. [He gestures to one of the empty seats.] You can sit down if you want..

[She relaxes and takes one of the offered seats, looking around the compartment and at his empty guitar case]

How long have you been playing?

[Such an innocent but loaded question! Since "Over a century" isn't really an option he opts for a half truth.]

Since I was pretty small..music is one of my favorite things. How about you? Do you play any instruments?

[Rapunzel does, indeed, start singing along as she walks by, stopping in her tracks to do so.]

[Girl voice! Girl voice that sings beautifully! Marshall is instantly interested in who it is and he opens the door to find out. When he sees that it's a gorgeous girl he puts on his most charming smile.]

If you don't mind me saying so, you have a great voice. [He pauses and regards her.] Say, have we spoken before? On the journals?

Thank you! [She smiles back.] I don't know! Maybe. I'm Rapunzel!

It's the truth~. [He nods] We have! We talked about music a little bit. It's nice to meet you in person. [He holds out a cold hand.] I'm Marshall Lee.

Thank you. And oh! [She shakes his hand; if she notices how cold he is; she says nothing.] Right! Nice to really meet you!

The pleasure is all mine..um, want to sit down? [He gestures to the empty seat across from him.] We can jam a little if you like..

Why is it so dark back here? [Is the first thing out of Eriq's mouth as he enters the cabin. He knows, very original.]

[Marshall stops playing and opens the door and pops his head out and grins slyly.]
There are tons of possibilities why.. People are either: 1) making out 2) sleeping or 3) hung over as hell
[He gives a half wave.]
'Sup? I'm Marshall Lee.

[Eriq jerks his head back a bit, eyes going wide] Er....Should I leave then? I don't want to... interrupt or anything...

[Marshall chuckles and opens the door wider.]
Nah, you're not interrupting anything..I was just joking. Feel free to sit if you want to.

[Oh, right, jokes. Okay.] Well, it's kind of too dark to read... [Yes, that is Twilight in his hands. He's not even trying to hide it. He's also not very sure if he wants to go in. Strange people in a dark cabin? Ehhhhn...]

I can turn the light on...I don't mind. [He reaches up and fiddles with one of the lamps and turns it on to a soft glow. He glances at the book in Eriqs hand and laughs.]

Dude, you know that's the worst vampire book ever right? I mean, at least Anne Rice tried to go for some realism.

[You can totally come in Dirk. He won't mind. Marshall senses someone standing outside the door and stops playing to peer outside and see who it is.]

'Sup? You can hang out you know. [He pauses a second before asking.] I think I spoke to you on the journals..its Dirk right?

I took classes at my old school, but I'm not good at it.

Well, if you weren't good at it maybe you just haven't found the right instrument yet.
