WHEN: The day of September 2nd for the train, and at night for the feast!
WHERE: Hogwarts Express/Platform 9 3/4 and The Great Hall
WHAT: Gotta get back to Hogwarts! Back to witches and wizards and magical feasts! Students and teachers are finally heading back to school on the Hogwarts express, and with the new school year means sorting for the first years!
STATUS: Ongoing!
NOTE: There is a thread for the Train back to Hogwarts, and the Feast, with a subthread for the Sorting! First years can comment to be sorted, and everyone else can greet their new house mates/students!

[The way he blushes isn't] Of course I do! I've already read all of Anne Rice's novels, and I enjoyed them perfectly. This is just... to tide me over until I find something better. [Secret: This is actually the sixth time he's read Twilight. He really likes it, even if he knows its rubbish]

Rice's weren't too bad. It's hard finding good supernatural fiction that doesn't take one small idea, run off with it and make it completely ridiuclous though.
[He quirks his lips into a smile.]

Yes, Marshall has read it too. Only he laughed through the entire thing.

I was going to say... Maybe Rice's vampires don't sparkle, but Lestat became an international rock star. [Not that he had any problem with that. Rock stars were hot]

[And then his eyes light up and he lets out a little giggle that he quickly tries to stifle] Oh, Team Edward all the way! I didn't get this to read about werewolves, after all! And Edward is SO much more dignified than Jacob. I mean really, I bet he scratches himself in public.

[Marshall grins at the talk about Lestat. If ever there was a fictional vampire he identified with...]
That's what I liked about Lestat. He got sick of the bullshit. He just wanted to have a life after death and didn't give a fuck. True he made some pretty stupid mistakes with Akasha and all but you gotta respect him for trying at least.
[Oh, Marshall notices but it's okay.]
I dunno man..Edward sneaks into girls rooms to watch them sleep. That's not romantic..that's a need for a restraining order.

[He hums a little to himself as Marshall talks about Lestat, moving to sit down beneath the lamp. It's kind of nice, lends a bit of a dark, brooding air to the car, which he appreciates. And someone is willing to talk to him about his vampire books without giving him a hard time, which is always a plus.]

He made a lot of mistakes even before that, you'll remember. Poor Claudia, growing old, but never growing up, and always treated like a child. Not to mention all the mistakes he made with Louis. He might've had good intentions, but he never seemed to learn from his mistakes.

[And then he ducks his head a little, mumbling about how he wouldn't mind someone sneaking into his room to watch him sleep.]

[The light doesn't bother Marshall as much as it normally would. He'd taken his resist-the-urge-to-eat-your-potential-friends potion earlier in the day and felt pretty good. To him sitting in the light was awesome.]

I always wondered if Lestat would have bothered turning Claudia if Louis hadn't seemed to feel so guilty. Turning a kid is really a stupid and cruel thing for a vampire to do though.

Yeah..he did some pretty dumb shit. I kinda liked that aspect of him though..it made him more human and relatable despite being a vampire. It showed that not all of them are complete monsters...

[Marshall totally catches all of that and chuckles.]
If you like that kind of thing though..hey, more power to you.
