I took classes at my old school, but I'm not good at it.

Oh yeah? What instrument?

Well, if you weren't good at it maybe you just haven't found the right instrument yet.

I tried the violin and the piano. I kind of like the piano better, but they were both really boring. It might've also been the music selection we had. All of it was classic, which is really nice to listen to. But it wasn't fun to play. There's not enough of a margin for error.

Ahh there you go. You were just playing the wrong kind of music. I really hate how a lot of music teachers force people to play things that students have no interest in.

I get that it helps to know your history and understand the foundation of music but...they could at least mix it up a little.

I would've liked to learn classical renditions on more modern pieces, whether from a movie or an actual song that's plaid on the radio. I think the music teacher was simply too posh to stoop that low.

New takes on old favorites are always pretty awesome. If you join the Music Club I'm sure they're not planning on playing stuffy things. And there will be people there to help if you want it.

[Yup, he perks up to this.]

That'd be really awesome, actually. Do you know anything else about it? I didn't bring an instrument or anything.

Well, Marceline is in charge of it. I'm just there to help. I'm not quite sure what she has planned yet.

I'm pretty sure we can scare up some instruments. If not I can bring back some extra guitars after the holidays.

Oh, okay. This would be really cool. [He says this, trying to sound blase about it but it's REALLY EXCITING.]

If anything, I can see if my uncle'll get me one.

You can usually get a starter set pretty cheap!
