What's better than roleplaying? Roleplaying to make yourself a better person! Today, the teachers have to play out scenarios to help them think through what to do.

We're doing this sort of link a meme. Each teacher should have a comment and then a teacher will comment back with the scenario that they'll be playing out. The teacher who started the thread will be playing the teacher in each scenario. Use the random number generator to get your scenario and play it out. Each teacher is supposed to play something out with everyone, so try to tag everyone.


1. A student comes to you about a bullying problem.

2. You find two students fighting and have to safely put a stop to it.

3. A student is coming on to you.

4. What do you do when you catch a student cheating.

5. What do you do when the girls go wild with rumor spreading.

6. There's been a magical accident and a student has been hurt.

7. What do you do when you catch a student with drugs with drugs or alcohol.

8. What do you do when a fellow teacher is treating a student unfairly.

9. What do you do when two teachers are fighting.

10. What do you do when a student is being verbally or physically agressive towards you.

Say I'm being unfair to a student, even though the probably deserve it. What do you do?

[Well, he is a fairly unnerving guy? And does sort of always act like he knows something the other professors don't, and finds it really funny.]

What exactly did you do?

[Yes that's true.]

I supposed I gave them an extremely harsh detention. Something along those lines.

Well, for it to be unfair, you'd have had to go easier on other students, mm? As Dumbledore really does leave the disciplinary action up to us.

[He raises an eyebrow as he gives her a sardonic look, one corner of his mouth quirking up.] Matteris, why were you so ... soft on those children? Are possible inappropriate relationships a factor here?

Of course you can, my dear. [taps his chin thoughtfully] You look like the sort who might ... allow a friend to take credit for your work, maybe? Or use a memory charm ...

I wouldn't do any non potions related wand waving in class.

Well, I would hope you wouldn't be that stupid, but nevertheless, certain charms are still considered out of bounds, even if you use them before class.

No, I'm afraid I'm going to have to insist on at least a brief display of shadow-boxing.

I don't see how shadow-boxing is going to add to the roleplay.

[Rhys is really...strange. Still, Coulson will indulge him with a few experimental jabs to the air. ]

Oh, marvelous. Though really, your technique could use some work.

[It's funny how fast a man that size can move, but his wand is out of his robe in under a second, and the spell he casts is equally quick, though barely murmured.]

Petrificus totalis~ [If it actually hits Coulson, he'll catch the other man before his stiff body hits the floor. If it doesn't hit, well, he's got a few more binding spells up his sleeve. You never know when you need to tie someone up, after all.]

Do you have something in your eye, Miss Peixes? [polite interest ... he gets what the scenario is, but this is genuinely how he'd probably respond to an amorous student. Now an amorous professor, that's another story.]

Define rumour, if that's what you believe, my girl.

A false truth ... you realize that's nonsensical, correct? And a rumour is unverified talk, or opinion, spread around. There does not need to be truth in it at all to qualify. Unfortunately your reasoning is ridiculous and faulty. [pleasantly, smiling at her] If I had you in my court, you'd be off to Azkaban without delay for such erroneous conclusions.

[There's a light blush on her cheeks with the correction, Chiara catching her tongue and temper and restraining both.] I see. English is not my first, nor second language. Being asked to define English words in English can cause mistakes.

Just the same as spreading rumors can, my girl. Perhaps you should refrain from it, or risk making more of a fool of yourself than you already have. Of course, the choice is up to you. [spreads his hands]
