WHERE:  The Lake.
WHAT:  After this Murdoc realised the children (and staff) of Hogwarts were in dire need of swimming lessons.
STATUS: Ongoing

[GATHER AROUND CHILDREN it's a warm summer day and the lake is perfect for diving into your sudden but inevitable deaths. You should all be dressed in your swimming trunks (which you clearly have don't even lie) because Murdoc sure is. He's determined to conduct this in the best manner he can, though he wasn't quite expecting the turn out to be so large. People who can swim are welcome to become his assistants because he could probably use the help.]

[He thought to shake it until she finally wanted her hand back but maybe she wasn't the sort to put an end to this.]

Right, I am Ka Lung.

[He's right about that.]

It is nice to meet you, Ka Lung.

[After a moment he would let her hand go. His own arm was growing tired.]

Nice to meet you too. So, what are you working on?

[And so was hers. She immediately slipped her hand behind her back, almost as if she was afraid he would start shaking it again.]

I was drawing.

[He wouldn't. That would be strange. Well, stranger.]

The lake?

[remembertheroses]

[A nod. She was a bit unsure about Ka Lung, and being the shy thing she was she preferred to keep silent.]

[It was fine. He could do all the talking if it was needed.]

Have you been working on it for long?

[remembertheroses]

[That might just happen. Ib just shakes her head, no she hadn't been working on it by her definition of long. She's been drawing for nearly 30 minutes though.]

I see. I got a peek at it before. It looks pretty good. At least I couldn't draw like that.

[He might've said the magic word there. She perks up slightly at that.]

Do you like to draw as well, Ka Lung?

[coffeewithtea]

[What luck!] Maybe when I shouldn't.

[Like when he is suppose to be studying or doing homework. Not that he failed to get those things done still he did waste plenty of time doodling away.]

What do you like to draw?

Nothing like you draw. Usually it is various characters from things I've seen on television.

Cartoons?

[She likes drawing them too actually, but she's not very good with that just yet.]

[He nods once.]

I like cartoons too.

[There's the beginning of a small smile on her lips. Cartoons and art are topics Ib's very comfortable with.]

What are your favourite cartoons?

[He might have realized this as she seems to be speaking more.]

Well, there is that one show with those fighting cat people. It seems interesting though I have not caught too many episodes of it.

I think have seen that on the TV too.

[She didn't really like it because it looked painful to be punched and attacked that way, but she was too polite to say anything to Ka Lung.]

My favourite cartoon is "The Faraway Tree". It is about children finding a magic tree. There are fairies and pixies and Moon-face, who is a man with the face of a moon, and together they have adventures and discover new worlds.

I can't say I've heard of it. I will have to wait until Winter Break to watch it. Maybe I can search for it online.

It is drawn and coloured very prettily and I really like the magic inside it. I also like the food, they are very strange but very funny and they look like they will be nice to eat.

The food? What sort of food have they shown? If you describe it as strange is it nothing like you would find to eat anywhere?

[She pauses to think and remember, tilting her head to one side as she does so.]

There were Honey biscuits. And toffee that burst in your mouth so that's not very nice. And cream puffs that squeaked. I do not think I have seen food like that before. But I have yet to try all Wizard sweets, so maybe there are foods like that here.

Honey biscuits don't sound bad. [But he can definitely agree that the toffee wouldn't be any good? Unless of course you were trying to surprised someone. The cream puffs he thought could be cute.]

I don't remember coming across toffees or cream puffs like that. You know if no one has made things like that, perhaps we can.

W-we can?

[She perks up at the sound of that. Real Pop Biscuits and Google Buns and Toffee Shocks? Was that possible? Her eye grow round at the possibility.

Well, we're wizards. I am sure we can.

Of course we would have to check if they don't already exist. If they don't, I'll have a look at the show. I did say I would during winter break then I can find some recipes. Now the only thing that would probably give us trouble is enchanting them to do the things you described.
