WHERE:  The Lake.
WHAT:  After this Murdoc realised the children (and staff) of Hogwarts were in dire need of swimming lessons.
STATUS: Ongoing

[GATHER AROUND CHILDREN it's a warm summer day and the lake is perfect for diving into your sudden but inevitable deaths. You should all be dressed in your swimming trunks (which you clearly have don't even lie) because Murdoc sure is. He's determined to conduct this in the best manner he can, though he wasn't quite expecting the turn out to be so large. People who can swim are welcome to become his assistants because he could probably use the help.]

[Swimming? Heck yeah! Coraline unceremoniously drops her stuff off at the edge of the water and runs down the dock cheering and promptly cannonballs in.]

This is awesome! Hey, who wants to play Marco Polo?

Yeah! Come on people! This is the last week before things REALLY get started in class! Let's have FUN.

[And he's got the ball in his hands.]

[He's going to take a few steps out of her reach.]

[Shinra waits until Coraline has resurfaced before waving at her from the lake's edge.]

That was very impressive, Coraline!

[She tries to wave him over]
Come on Shinra! We're trying to get people to play Marco Polo!

[He waves back a little more tentatively this time.]

Thank-you for the offer, but I really don't know how to play, so it would probably be best for me to stay here and observe.

Awww..c'mon! We can teach you! It's not a rough game so even if you're not a very good swimmer it should be okay!

[He glances around briefly before responding to her. And his smile might be a little strained now.]

That is very kind of you. But I don't think it would work out, seeing that I can't really swim at all.

[She wades out of the water and comes up to him.]

Ohhh really? Maybe you should go see Professor Donoghue..he's giving swim lessons.
And if you want, maybe we could do something after this one game? Maybe a bunch of us could just go take a walk around the lake or something.

[She perks up a little]
Hey, maybe we'll see the giant squid!

[doctorkishitani]

I suppose I could do that. But I've already opted out and I wouldn't want to inconvenience him by signing up at the last minute.

[He smiles warnly at her suggestion. Because that was a very nice offer.]

That would be nice, but I wouldn't want to keep you from your game. And you would probably be more likely to see the squid if you stayed in the lake.

I doubt he would care. I mean, he's already out there. What else is he going to do right?

Well, I brought some snacks and stuff. I'm sure everyone will want to come out of the water soon and we can all sit and eat something together.

[He probably won't. But he can't argue with Coraline's logic.]
