SWIMMINGGEDDON.
WHO: Murdoc Donoghue and YOU
TONE: Fun, WHIMSICAL, horrifying
RATING: PG-13 and onward
WHEN: September 7th
WHERE: The Lake.
WHAT: After this Murdoc realised the children (and staff) of Hogwarts were in dire need of swimming lessons.
STATUS: Ongoing
[GATHER AROUND CHILDREN it's a warm summer day and the lake is perfect for diving into your sudden but inevitable deaths. You should all be dressed in your swimming trunks (which you clearly have don't even lie) because Murdoc sure is. He's determined to conduct this in the best manner he can, though he wasn't quite expecting the turn out to be so large. People who can swim are welcome to become his assistants because he could probably use the help.]

Did that stop him from not trying to show up late to this terrible travesty? Oh no, he wouldn't miss out on watching people look stupid.
Even if he was hurting real bad right nowEspecially since he just got done looking stupid himself.Anyways hi don't mind this fool he's sort of just sitting himself out away from the pack with his bad eye not facing towards anyone right now, nor is he going to change just yet. Yep, there should be no attention drawn towards the freckled kid without his glasses on and not trying to communicate with anyone. This is a completely good idea, he thinks anyways.]

When she spots Eridan, she raises an eyebrow at the black eye before moving over to him, squatting and draping her arms over her knees as she looks at him and back to the doofuses trying to swim.]
You here for the freakshow too?
no subject
Ahh, yeah, since we're all fully aware of what he can do, it's not like I'm far behind on how to swim an' all. Probably go out into the water later, just... not. At the moment.
[Boy you stop soundin' funny right this instant.]
no subject
What's really up, Eri?
no subject
I... got into a fight. [Eridan ffs thank you for pointing out the obvious.]
no subject
[Her tone is a little dry, but not teasing. She raises an eyebrow, leaning back on her hands. She's no stranger to Eridan getting into fights but this one must've been serious if he's sulking about it.]
Who with?
no subject
Even if he's still reluctant because ow did it hurt in so many ways.]
Wris kicked my ass.
no subject
Wow. Guess that explains why she was pissed.

He supposes the offer to join him had been forgotten, or that he had better things to do than come watch his father swimming about like an idiot. He still can't help being a little worried.
So when he does catch him out of the corner of his eye, sitting on the outskirts instead of joining, he wonders how long he'd been sitting there. Paddling to the edge of the lake, not close enough to get a proper look at his face, he calls out to him]
Eridan! C'mere!
no subject
Ah... Comin'.
[Oh. This is a bad idea already.
When he stands up, he tries not to make his limp as visible as it could be, even though oh god that hurt worse. In fact, he doesn't make it the entire way, settling for a few feet from the shoreline.
Yeah, he's going to be somewhat stubborn.]
no subject
A hand goes straight for his chin, tilting his head gently to the side as he leans in to inspect the injuries with a very worried expression.]
Have you been fightin'?
no subject
Maybe. [Eridan knows that lie isn't going to work at all, and he decides to add to it, hoping that would help the situation.] I wasn't ewen pickin' for one.
no subject
Maybe!? [He makes an exasperated noise.] With who?
no subject
I. Yeah, alright, I was fightin'. I got into a fight with Wris. [His pride hurts now. Ow.]

Mr Ampora, you should probably go and see the Healer for that eye of yours.
no subject
Ah, it's... it's alright sir, I'm fine without goin'. My eye'll get better.
no subject
Hold still, Mr Ampora. Episkey.
[He knows at least the basic healing spells, and this was one of them. It should at least reduce the swelling on the black eye and take care of some of the bruises and scratches.]
no subject
Oh. Oh uh... [Well, he still feels like crap, but not as much.
His pride hurts the most right now, whoops. But at least he's kind enough to give him thanks right now.] Thank you, sir.no subject
Did you get into a fight?
no subject
Astute obserwation, ewen though it's sort of obwious.
(no subject)
no subject
My goodness, Ampora. You look more pitiful than normal.
no subject
Oh showe off Zahhak. I still look better than you do on any other day.
no subject
[ He can't stifle a condescending laugh. ]
Would you like to talk about it, though? It would be better than you crying into your journal.
no subject
... My trunks are on underneath, alright? I didn't want to waste time changin' and I planned on just jumpin' on in since I obwiously don't need lessons.
[He shoots him a glare, trying hard to hold back wanting to slug him. ]
Whatewer could there be to talk about? I got my ass kicked, end of story. Also cram it because I'm not goin' to fuckin' cry about it in my journal like some first year who got into his first fight.
no subject
[ He smirks. That's a compliment, Ampora. You better appreciate it. ]
Who was it that so mercilessly brutalized you? And if you so stubbornly refuse to cry about it, is sulking any better?
[ Disapproving glare. And also a bit more of a smirk because pfft he got beat up. ]
