It wasn't exactly the first thing you'd think of buying a young boy for a pet, but Dolores knew Karkat, and as soon as she'd thought of it, she knew he'd love it. While she waited for him to come home, she sat in the living room reading a book. On the coffee table in front of her there was a glass habitat, in which three shelled creatures were moving, slowly exploring their new home.

She glanced up to check the clock, and settled herself a little more comfortably. He'd be home soon, and if this didn't surprise him, she wasn't quite sure what else she might do to lift his mood.

... Aside from smother him in cuddles until he gave in, of course. That was usually a winner.

I'm Accidentally In Love

WHAT: Dave's spilling his heart on Rose.

[It's a nice day, at least. Dave's been doing his homework outside when it gets warm enough, so it really doesn't take long at all to get to the Quidditch pitch. Thankfully, nobody's practicing at this time.

He sighs a little. He doesn't really want to have this conversation. Spilling his guts isn't strictly in Strider style. Still...Rose is a good listener. Too good, sometimes. He's accidentally slipped some things to her before after all. Dave regretted them later, but at the same time, he didn't regret slipping.

Still, why Rose when her boyfriend is also an issue for him? Well...Bro's got a lot on his plate being both teacher and Head of Gryffindor, and Dave doesn't feel that this is important enough to add on to it. In some ways this extends to Dirk, who has O.W.L.'s coming up shortly, but mostly he's just too shy to namedrop around him, especially since he's got crushes on two of Dirk's friends.

Rose is just the best person. Besides, if he can't trust his twin sister, who the fuck can he trust?

Another sigh as he looks around the Quidditch pitch, spots her, and makes his casual way over to her.]

Greece is the word

WHERE: Murdoc's home in Greece
WHAT: A teacher meeting held in Greece! What could possibly go wrong?
STATUS: Ongoing.

[Murdoc isn't sure why the responsibility of hosting the meeting fell to him, honestly it already sounds like a terrible idea. He doubts any of them will either come up with sound lesson plans, work cohesively as a team or leave his home any wiser and more mature than they were when they entered. To him, it seems as if a couple of people just like the idea of visiting Greece. However, it's not as if he's going to pass up the chance to show off! And it's not like he doesn't have room to spare.

He's not going to be all that happy to have people there, but he's not a bad host. Everyone has a room and there's food and booze provided. Not to mention the fact that the beach and town are within walking distance, but why on earth would you want to live such a sick crib? Of course, given that he's a pureblood there's absolutely no technology or reception, but there's a pool and a near endless amount of rooms filled with nifty shit!

Regardless, if you aren't a kid you sure as hell aren't here to explore, so quit touching his stuff and get working.]

WHAT: Gamzee goes to his bf's for the hols

Gamzee was pretty excited. This would be his first holiday with Tavros since they'd really gotten together, and he was hoping that maybe they'd get some alone time. He wasn't sure yet if he was going to put the moves on the younger boy - he really did want it to be special, not just some quickie hand job in the bathroom or something - but hope sprang eternal and Gamzee pretty much thought about sex all the time.

Of course, there was the added bonus of getting to spend time with Tavros's mam, who Gamzee basically thought all mams should be like, she was like the ultimate mam. Plus, after that he'd been invited with Karkat to Professor Donoghue's house for some reason, which was awesome. This was going to be the best hol ever, he just knew it.
