Greece is the word
WHO: ALL OF THE TEACHERS and their broods
TONE: FUN!?!?
RATING: M for Mature.
WHEN: 4th April to 7th April (ish)
WHERE: Murdoc's home in Greece
WHAT: A teacher meeting held in Greece! What could possibly go wrong?
STATUS: Ongoing.
[Murdoc isn't sure why the responsibility of hosting the meeting fell to him, honestly it already sounds like a terrible idea. He doubts any of them will either come up with sound lesson plans, work cohesively as a team or leave his home any wiser and more mature than they were when they entered. To him, it seems as if a couple of people just like the idea of visiting Greece. However, it's not as if he's going to pass up the chance to show off! And it's not like he doesn't have room to spare.
He's not going to be all that happy to have people there, but he's not a bad host. Everyone has a room and there's food and booze provided. Not to mention the fact that the beach and town are within walking distance, but why on earth would you want to live such a sick crib? Of course, given that he's a pureblood there's absolutely no technology or reception, but there's a pool and a near endless amount of rooms filled with nifty shit!
Regardless, if you aren't a kid you sure as hell aren't here to explore, so quit touching his stuff and get working.]

She's relaxed enough that she isn't even keeping up the pretence of breathing, what air she does draw in light and erratic and just enough that she can hum a few bars of a tune that's stuck in her head (which, to anyone with a good ear, would quickly reveal itself to be Livin' on a Prayer). Her fingers tap gently against the arm of the sun lounger.
Anyone approaching, unless they're incredibly quiet, would find her turning to give them a cheerful smile and a small wave.]
no subject
He turns as he hears her hum and raises an eyebrow at her, draping his towel over a lounge and folding his arms over his chest, half smiling at her.]
Afternoon. [A beat.] Enjoyin' yourself?
no subject
It's just as well that she makes up for her lack of human life with her bright expression and cheerful voice as she replies.]
I am! This place is wonderful, thank you for inviting me, and for letting me bring Karkat along.
no subject
He seems pleased with the answer and decides to perch on a nearby lounge rather than getting in the pool so he can talk instead.]
It's no trouble at all, though I don't think he seems to be enjoying it quite as much as you are. [He scoffs a little, still insulted that he thinks his house is too bright.]
no subject
He's enjoying himself well enough, or he would ask me to take him home. Don't take too much of what he says to heart, Murdoc. If he truly hated it, he would be far more vocal.

[Hint hint.]
no subject
I hardly see why he would. I thought his father was dead. [Yep, that hint went over his head.]
no subject
But there is more carried in genetics than how we look.
no subject
Do you mean to imply Eridan is a brat because I am?
no subject
Why, no, why would you think I would imply something like that?
[Yes, Murdoc, that's exactly what she's implying.]
no subject
What were you implying, then?
no subject
[Smile~ She folds her arms loosely over her stomach and watches him inspect his nails as if she's not going to realise he's gushing about her.]
You truly think that about me?
no subject
[He doesn't believe you for a second, that toothy smile isnt fooling him at all. But he isn't going to push it anymore because he doesn't really want to know what she's implying.]
Of course, I've no reason to flatter you needlessly, have I?
no subject
[As a distraction, she makes a small gesture to the pool.]
You were going for a swim? Do not let me stop you.
no subject
[He gives her a small shrug.] Will you join me? [He's not actually sure if Vampires swim, but he's padding back to the pool and slipping in anyway.]
no subject
[Maybe some vampires don't swim, but Dolores was swimming long before she became a vampire, and she's quick enough to sit on the edge of the pool and slip into the water, ducking her head under to wet it.
Another perk of being dead.. you never have to hold your breath.]
no subject
[He smiles as she approaches, having ducked under himself and swum a small distance away from the entrance of the pool already. He watches as she ducks under, raising an eyebrow before wondering if he should pull his favourite party trick.
He supposes he might as well, he rather enjoys swimming about in his other form. He takes a few steps back, dipping under the water and changing forms with relative ease. After that, he's going to swim toward Dolores and boop her on the leg with his snout ever so innocently.]

She sees the shadow in the water a moment before he bumps into her, and she could swear for a moment her heart leaps up into her throat.
Then, she purses her lips slightly, dips her hand under the water and taps the shark's nose with two fingers.]
Murdoc, honestly.
no subject
He feels just a tiny bit guilty at her reaction, but her tapping his nose is only a sign that she's willing to pet him. He nudges his nose up against her hand, urging her to proceed.]
no subject
A shark begging for pets goes very near to the top of the list of the strangest things she's ever seen, but she doesn't refuse, gently rubbing her knuckles over his nose.]
I hope that you know that you are utterly ridiculous, dear.
[Said with the utmost fondness, of course.]

And how are you Ms Maryam? We really haven't had a chance to chat, and such a pity.
no subject
I'm quite alright, and a pity indeed. I normally greet new professors, but the castle's antics have been keeping me quite busy of late.
no subject
Don't worry too much. I may have been avoiding your typical haunts anyway darling. I've spent quite enough time in hospitals to suit me for life. But we should catch up! Antics have to take a break eventually.
Perhaps drinks while we're here?
no subject
I would not have refused meeting with you before now, but since we are here, I won't say no to a drink or two.
