WHERE: Murdoc's home in Greece
WHAT: A teacher meeting held in Greece! What could possibly go wrong?
STATUS: Ongoing.

[Murdoc isn't sure why the responsibility of hosting the meeting fell to him, honestly it already sounds like a terrible idea. He doubts any of them will either come up with sound lesson plans, work cohesively as a team or leave his home any wiser and more mature than they were when they entered. To him, it seems as if a couple of people just like the idea of visiting Greece. However, it's not as if he's going to pass up the chance to show off! And it's not like he doesn't have room to spare.

He's not going to be all that happy to have people there, but he's not a bad host. Everyone has a room and there's food and booze provided. Not to mention the fact that the beach and town are within walking distance, but why on earth would you want to live such a sick crib? Of course, given that he's a pureblood there's absolutely no technology or reception, but there's a pool and a near endless amount of rooms filled with nifty shit!

Regardless, if you aren't a kid you sure as hell aren't here to explore, so quit touching his stuff and get working.]

[Rhys doesn't need to pretend, there's always work of one sort or another he can be getting done, lesson plans, things like that. He's going to approach his host at some point, as well - after all, there had been talk of joint lessons at one point, and while he'd been under the influence of a love spell at the time, the idea itself really isn't bad.

But for now, he can be found in one corner taking notes, long legs stretched out in front of him.]

[Murdoc has been ghosting about the room making sure everyone is at least humoring the reason they're here. It certainly wasn't his idea to hold this silly thing, nor was it his idea to hold it at his house! If he suffers, everybody needs to!

He sort of looms around Rhys for a while, worrying his lip a little before he actually adresses him.]

Rhydderch. [A nod.]

[Rhys, who's been aware of Murdoc hovering around for awhile, glances up as though he's just now noticed the other man, and smiles. The smile is ... oddly pleasant, actually.]

Donoghue. Taking a break? I don't believe I've thanked you yet for the gracious allowance for all of us to use your home for what are, after all, rather tedious tasks.

[Don't think the pleasant nature of that smile is overlooked, even if it isn't returned. Smiling isn't something that comes naturally to him, after all.]

Yes, actually. I thought I'd take a turn about the room. [Okay, that gets a tiny smile.] You're welcome.

[That sounds so curt and awkward alone, so he waits a moment before adding:] I trust it's been to your likin' so far?

It's beautiful. Very different from home. The change is refreshing - I don't exactly take many vacations. Even if this is a working one, the view and surroundings make up for it. Do you ever have difficulty adjusting, when you come back to school?

It is, isn't it? Greece is a lovely country, there's so much history to it. [Which is saying something given the long history of Hogwarts.] I'm sure you'll have plenty of time to appreciate it once we've done the bare minimum, I'd be a terrible host if I had everyone workin' all the time.

[He hums at the question. Truthfully? He's quite a bit more relaxed at home, even with everyone around. It's hard to realise himself, though.] I'm not sure, really. I spent most of my life in Ireland or in Hogwarts. [A small shrug.] The weather is certainly a struggle.

You think so? [He raises an eyebrow.] Here I thought I was bein' my bossy old self.

Mm, yes, but you're less self conscious about it. Less tense. I'm assuming because you are, for all intents and purposes, the undisputed master of this domain, and that's hardly the case at Hogwarts.

How very interestin'. [Which is to say it's weird how well you know him and it's unsettling.] I am at least the head of Slytherin, but you are correct, I am very much in control here. After all, it's difficult to be tense in such a lovely place, wouldn't you agree?

[slow smile] Some people could surely manage, but yes, such pleasant surroundings do put a certain damper on tension and anxiety.

With luck such logic will apply over everyone's stay. I'd hate for any fights to break out. [Lest anyone accidentally smash a face.]

Though I suppose it's hard to avoid the dramatics of teenagers.

Easy enough to cut them off. And I don't think many of the children here are particularly aggressive. Well, except Makara, he has a history, from what I understand.

Now we can only hope it will be so easy with the adults. [He might be on amiable terms with Rhys, but Bro certainly isn't.]

Which one? Kurloz or Gamzee? [He lifts an eyebrow, acting as if he doesn't know Kurloz is his son even if they're in a fairly private corner or the room.] Not that I'm denying either of them can be, of course. They're very strange boys.
