WHAT: Due to visiting holiday ghosts, some students and staff find themselves living as their future selves. How did some of these kids and teachers turn out? Only time can tell.

Sherlock, if I knew someone was threatening your life and you didn't know, you'd want to hear about it, right?

Second, that's why there's an "if" in there. For hypotheticals.

If you deigned it necessary to withhold that information I would suspect you did so to not cause undo worry and because you were already handling the situation or the situation had been dealt with.

We have both put each other's lives in danger. The only difference is that I can actually do something about my adversary. Even if you quit that foolish band of yours we're still marked.

Don't act like I'm the unreasonable one. I do all I can to not be the cause of your death.

The Order isn't foolish. Yeah, maybe I can't do a whole lot about the situation on my own, especially if the Ministry keeps heading the way it is. Hell, I might not even be allowed to keep my job at St. Mungo's, and that's if I'm lucky. But that's why it's organized and not a bunch of people running around at cross purposes - together, the Order can do what a single person can't.

Do you see why I think your attempt to take on the Moriarty problem all on your own isn't the greatest idea?

[John raises an eyebrow and presses his lips into a tight line.]

As far as he's concerned, yes.

[John gives him a measured look and straightens his shoulders.]

[Tonally, that sentence is not quite a statement and not quite a question. It straddles the line.]

"Legal entity". You make us sound like a corporation. Holmes and Watson Shares and Holdings, Inc.

You know what I'm capable of, so I don't know why you refuse to let me help you with this.

I'm starting to get the feeling that arguing with you about this any more is an uphill battle.

Can you at least promise me that you'll do your damndest to stay alive? It's looking like that's all I can ask for.
