WHAT: Rose is hitting up the festivities a little early with a little Masquerade Tea Party! Food, drinks, and music! Everyone is invited so mix and mingle and party till you can't party no more. Or at least until teachers shoo the students off to sleep.


With much planning and preparation involved, is delighted to see that everything is going according to plan for the party. She has left invitations tacked to boards so many can see and has even went to the network to remind everyone. She was excited to say the least. It was her first time setting up a party. She wasn't her mom and didn't have the experience, but she likes to think that she did a pretty good job getting everything together while juggling everything else.

I am pleased to know that you are happy, but happiness can only grow over time. I do not believe it is something that thrives in stagnation. Change is good!

As you wish! And I do. I know many of them. Just because you want to be alone does not mean you want to be exiled forever.

Oh, believe me. Plenty of change has gone through my life to keep me busy.

I suppose that is true.

I will take that as a positive thing and not a negative thing as it could very well be, then. Congratulations on your change, Lalonde!

I am glad you see my logic.

It's a bit of both. But bad times pass eventually. No one should expect a perfect life. That's just too naive.

[brothor]

It could be argued that perfection is the balance of bad and good times. Though I suppose the general idea of perfection is to be without flaws, one could say the ability to rise above flaws results in perfection.

[seeringlight]

Basically, the word and the meaning behind it is interchangeable. Really though. Is it all that great to have a perfect life?

[brothor]

I do not think it is, if you expect it. But I think that it is alright to strive for perfection.

[seeringlight]

It's one thing to strive, but what if you actually successfully get to that point? What happens after?

[brothor]

You set yourself on a new goal and continue to aspire towards it! [He smiles cheerfully.] Life can be broken down into accomplishments, you know?

[seeringlight]

But if your life is "perfect," what else are you supposed to do? Isn't that the point of having a perfect life?

[brothor]

But there is no such thing as perfection! It is only something you can work toward.

[seeringlight]

This is all hypothetical. I mean, many do believe in there being a perfect life that is achievable. We are assuming this is possible. What happens when you reach that moment but still have plenty of your life to look forward too? What happens, do you think?

[brothor]

All I can imagine is that you would continue onward! I suppose it is a point you can only understand once you get to it. Though now that I consider it, there are a lot of different types of life one might find to be perfect. It seems less and less possible, now that I think about it.

[seeringlight]

Yet we strive for it all our lives.

Do you have a perfect ideal that you wish to attain?

[brothor]

I find it better to strive to be the best you can be than waste chances out of fear and uncertainty.

I should like to be an auror! Ideally, I'd like to live up to the high standards set by my father. I shall have to work hard to reach that point.

How about yourself?

[seeringlight]

I wish you luck. I think you will do a smashing job.

Me? I'm not quite sure. I have many high ambitions and it's difficult to really choose a branch. I think I would like to really harness my abilities as a seer. Perhaps put it to writing. I feel like this branch does not get as much credit as it deserves.

[brothor]

You do? Well! I appreciate it. I know you would not lie to me, Miss Lalonde.

I am sure you would walk any path better than many ever could! ....Though I suppose with such a wide variety of options it can be difficult to pick just one path.

[He smiles fondly.] It certainly doesn't, but I'm sure you could change that.

[seeringlight]

I think so! You seem like the type who could get into that field.

I hope so. I would love for people to think of it in a better light. I have had such great revelations through it, and I understand that it is a rare gift and many dismiss because of it.

But it exists, and people should not treat it like second rate magic. The future is just such a very exciting thing to look forward too in general, though.
