WHERE: Salvador Vantas' classroom
WHAT: Rose is hitting up the festivities a little early with a little Masquerade Tea Party! Food, drinks, and music! Everyone is invited so mix and mingle and party till you can't party no more. Or at least until teachers shoo the students off to sleep.


With much planning and preparation involved, is delighted to see that everything is going according to plan for the party. She has left invitations tacked to boards so many can see and has even went to the network to remind everyone. She was excited to say the least. It was her first time setting up a party. She wasn't her mom and didn't have the experience, but she likes to think that she did a pretty good job getting everything together while juggling everything else.

[Lyrl comes in looking completely unprepared though he has at least managed a mask. And it's true that he's unprepared, this being the first party he's ever been to in his life. He is here as a social experiment: observe the wild teenagers in their native environment, that sort of thing.]

[Tony smirks at Lyrl, himself looking like he's been to more than his fair share of parties like this.]

Confused yes, dazed no. I'm not quite sure how one approaches these affairs.

[No, he's not going to stop talking like himself just because it's a party.]

With enthusiasm and smiles, a well placed scone helps too.

[He gestures to the refreshment table.]

How else are you meant to 'approach' a party?

Then I shall just do as everyone else does?

[He looks around. There are people dancing and things. He doesn't know how to even approximate dancing.]

You know. Being a kid, shouldn't you naturally know how to be one?

Of course you just act like everyone el- .. Well maybe not Thor. But everyone else, yeah.

I haven't had much experience with normal juvenile behavior. [Which is why he's just standing here awkwardly.]

Here's a tip. Wanna fit in more. I wouldn't start with saying 'normal juvenile behaviour', just relax and be yourself then it's easy.

Don't talk about politics or religion and don't get naked. That pretty much all you need.

[Feferi notices Lyrl and his attempted at dressing for the masquerade, at least he tried and well, you know if it makes you comfortable may as well!! She though she would approve him, as she haven't had the change to talk to him before, and the whole point of the masquerade was to mingle, so why not?]

I guess parties aren't really your thing?

That would be accurate. But I'm trying to deviate from my normal activities.

[He looks around.]

This is a significant deviation.

So, trying to get out of your comfort zone? That is really brave of you! It's really hard to move out of such a zone.

[She tries to think of ways to make this less awkward.] Ah, do you want a drink or anything?

It is. I seem to bring the zone with me.

[He nods.] That sounds ideal. I have not yet examined the refreshments.

[She smiles at him and leans him to the refreshments table.]

Ok, for drinks we have lemonade and this one has some sort of punch as well as, water and some sort of soda! [She moves down the table a bit.] Here, we have some finger food, such as cheese and crackers, which are quite nice, you not by any chance lactose intolerance, are you?

I'll eat anything. [And he immediately begins gathering things because he has a teenage boy appetite.]

Are you one of the hosts?

[She smiles at that and decides to pick up some of the cheese squares to eat.]

No, i am not, i just helped set things up, so i just know what been kind of food is being served.

Ah well. Thank you then. [See? He has manners. When he remembers. Though they don't include eating things neatly.]

They're good.

No problem! [He should try more at the manners thing! It might do him some good! Then again Feferi sometimes forgets hers as well...]

I am glad you like the refreshments! [She gives a smiles before, chewing on some herself.] Oh! I never got your name?

[Except Rose is the opposite of wild, so Rose is expecting things to be tamed as far as parties go with this crowd. She will be unhappy otherwise.]

Hello. You're looking a bit overwhelmed even with the mask on. Did you need help with anything?

I am not sure what one does at these events. [From looking around it just seems like students being themselves but with masks on to him.] Is there some sort of itinerary?

You usually eat and socialize. If you are into dancing, than you can also dance.

There isn't really a set thing you have to do, but that tends to be the norm.

I know how to eat, I'm not so sure about those other two activities.

Well, you can most obviously do the socializing part. You happen to be speaking to me quite alright. Dancing, well. Not everyone is trained in it. You could take a page out of Thor's book though. I don't recommend it though.
