WHERE: Hogwarts Express/Platform 9 3/4 and The Great Hall
WHAT: Gotta get back to Hogwarts! Back to witches and wizards and magical feasts! Students and teachers are finally heading back to school on the Hogwarts express, and with the new school year means sorting for the first years!
STATUS: Ongoing!

Covering a yawn, he sits up and smiles drowsily.]

Eh, I was like that my first year at Hogwarts, which I'm going to guess is this year for you?

Yeah. I've been waiting for today since December for today to happen. That's when I got my letter. It was pretty much like waiting forever.

What year are you now?

Sixth.

[God you make him feel old, kiddo. He smiles wryly as he keeps studying Dirk.]

Trust me, soon enough it'll feel like you're waiting forever to finish... And sometimes forever isn't long enough.

D'you hate it that badly here? Or do you just want to do whatever you have planned after?

I only hate it during exam period, but otherwise I wish graduation would never come.

So, you have any family already at Hogwarts?

How tough to the exams get?

Yeah, actually. Uncle Dirk is a teacher and Dave is a fourth year.

I don't usually find them too hard but with some of the subjects I don't like it can be a struggle.

[Blinks. And blinks again.]

I guess if you study hard enough it won't be that bad though, huh?

Oh. Oh. Right, him. Wow, he's your uncle? I thought his name was Broderick or something just because he always insists on being called 'Bro' and the like.

[Takes a moment to look at shades and smiles a bit.]

Noooope, his name is Dirk, just like mine. I was named after him.

Of course you do. How much gel do you two go through in a week anyway? I swear, his hair could pick up a stiff wind.

Maybe a bottle? Depending upon the size, I guess. I dunno, 'cause I was pretty lazy over the summer and didn't bother doing anything if we were just staying at the flat.

You can skewer paper on his hair. I've done it before while he was sleeping and his hat was off.

That I've got to see... except he's got that hat glued to him during school or something.

Yeah, he's got it on all the time. One day I'll find a way to hide all of his hats and paper his hair again.

He'd just transfigure his underwear into one because he'd feel naked without it. [Snorts and shakes his head.]

I definitely will. Bonus points if I can get him away from supplementing anything for his hats for an hour.
