What: Thor is throwing Steve a SURPRISE PARTY and EVERYONE IS INVITED

[FINALLY! The dawn America day! Steve would soon arrive expecting nothing more than a sleepover. HOW WRONG HE WAS! Thor has set up a nice little shindig here and his parents were kind enough to leave the kids for some totally cool unsupervised party time.

The Odinson house is quite large and filled with quite a few curious wizarding quirks, so this time the halfbloods will be the ones getting culture shocked.]

[Not at all expecting a reaction like that. Tony drops his drink and stumbles back letting out a loud gasp of air. Clutching his stomach with one hand. He can't help but smirk at the hissing Brit. Then looks at Bruce.]

Wow, you know how to pick them...

[He turns his gaze back to the other, in his mind the reaction only meant one thing.]

I will not be surprised if you're one of Slytherin's beaters.

[Arthur looks a bit stunned at himself for reaction like that, but he quickly moves out of Tony's reach, scowling at him]

I'm not on the team. Who the bloody hell do you think you are?

[Bruce doesn't quite get it but just on autopilot goes:]

Tony, this is Arthur, Arthur, this is Tony...

[arrogantalloy]

[As he's introduces, Tony straightens up. And chooses to look smug]

Tony Stark, millionaire genius heir to Stark Industries.

As Arthur never denied being a part of Slythern, Tony knew to play the important person card. Wondering if it will cause Arthur to try and get into his good graces.]

What about you Artie? What do we think we are?

[Arthur just snorts, and waves a hand dismissively]

Never heard of you.

[Then, his eyes narrow faintly, and he scowls again]

'Artie'? So I can add 'presumptuous' to your list of character faults, then. My name is Arthur Kirkland, I don't expect you to have heard of me and quite frankly I couldn't give a damn one way or the other.

[greenmoonrising]

[Groans and steps between them, nudging them away from each other gently but firmly.]

Boys, settle down, we're at a party and there's no need for this hostility.

[arrogantalloy]

[Tony puts his hands up, and gives an innocent look]

Who's being uncharacteristically hostile here? Not me, I'm a cucumber here. And well really, what else can you expect from a snake but mindless hissing.

[Tony shrugged. Tony was used to people not knowing his fathers American company (Didn't mean he wasn't going to mention it), and being called presumptuous was still better than what he was normally used against him. He was wearing an expression of well practised apathy.]

You have horrible taste, by the way.

[He mumbles loud enough for Bruce to hear]

And what would you know about what is characteristic of me?

[Arthur bristles, fists clenched by his sides. 'Presumptuous' was only one of the steadily lengthening list of insults he had in mind and the only thing keeping him from using them was Bruce's presence]

You don't know a damn thing about me, you stuck up, arrogant piece of--

[He doesn't care if it's Arthur, Bruce quickly smacks his hand over the Brit's mouth and shoots Tony a 'look', clearly not quite understanding what he meant by 'taste'.]

I think you both need to take a breath before you start a fight with each other.

[arrogantalloy]

[He can't stop himself from looking beyond amused at Bruce's hand covering Arthur's mouth. But he puts his hand in his pockets and shrugs.]

I'm not starting anything. I just came over to say 'hi'.

[He glances away from the to show his disinterest. As far as he's concerned, everything he says is true.]

[Arthur shuts up, and after a moment or two lifts his hand to grip Bruce's wrist, pulling it down]

... I'm fine, Bruce.

[greenmoonrising]

[Slowly lowers his hand, not pulling it out of Arthur's grip and sighing.]

[Tony doesn't turn back to face them, but he tilts his head slightly as he looks at Bruce still being in Arthur's clutches. And shifts his weight in irritation]

[With his temper thoroughly diffused, Arthur glances over at Bruce, releasing the loose grip he'd had on his wrist though not before offering a light squeeze by way of a silent apology]

I'll leave you with your.. friend.. shall I?

[greenmoonrising]

[Gives a wan smile to Arthur and a narrow-eyed side-glance at Tony that screams 'BEHAVE'.]

No, you don't have to go, Arthur. Tony's just a bit of a... well. With guys at least. He's a real charmer with the ladies though.

[Tony blandly stares at the look before straightening up and offers his hand to Arthur.]

Anthony Stark. I'm being subtlety told we've gotten off on the wrong foot. I was only having a bit of fun. Didn't really think you'd mind seeing as you were almost in Bruce's pants and all.

[Tony gave a slight shrug. As far as he thought, there was nothing wrong with what he said at all.]

[Arthur eyes the hand for a moment, then takes it]

Arthur Kirkland. I know Bruce, and my proximity to his pants is nothing to do with anyone unless the contents belong to someone else.

[The shake is brief, but firm and not cold as might have been expected]

That being said, I was only having a bit of fun.

[A wry smile]

I suppose it goes without saying that I don't react well to being surprised by strangers. Still, I uh.. apologise for elbowing you in the stomach.

Hey hey, these pants are staying on and there's only room for one person in them and I'm it.

[Huffs and shoves his hands in his pockets, happy they're getting along(?) now at least.]

I'm gonna get a drink. You two just... bond... over something other than my pants, and I'll be right back.

[Shuffles off.]

[Tony shakes his head at the apology.]

It's fine, I've gotten a lot worse from theoretical friends.

[Tony glances at Bruce, and calls out for him.]

Hey, another pumpkin juice would be nice, just putting it out there and all!

[Then he returns his grinning face back to Arthur.]

So what else do we want to say about him and his pants, while he's not here to pout at us?

[Purely doing this to annoy Bruce when it gets back to him]

[Arthur's hesitant, but flashes a crooked grin back and shifts his weight, quite deliberately lowering his eyes while he watches Bruce walk away and folding his arms loosely over his stomach]

Don't you think he wears them just a tad too high?

[You two are terrible and heard those comments you brats. He get's just a tad huffy as he vanishes into the kitchen for the drinks - he'll be gone for a few posts.]

And tight, for someone who keeps saying he's not interested in picking up girls.

[Glances at Arthur, with a ghost of a smirk.]

But then, he could be holding out on me on details.

Maybe it isn't girls he's interested in.

[There's another smirk from Arthur, too. Oh, Bruce, you poor sod]

That could be it.

[Tony quirks an eyebrow]

Or he just has a kink for blondes with green eyes. Admittedly I haven't tried to set him up with one of those yet.

[Arthur flushes a brilliant scarlet and splutters slightly, then presses one hand to his face to hide it]
