Kurloz began to slowly amp up the kiss, lightly grazing his teeth along Herbert's lips as his fingers skimmed over the smaller boy's cheekbones. He smiled as Herbert began to respond, happy to see the boy was actually taking part rather than just letting it happen.

His hands slowly stroked down Herbert's throat and shoulders, gradually moving down to circle his fingers around the boy's thin wrists, thumbs lightly rubbing over the sensitive inner wrists.

The smaller boy's reactions made it clear that yes, he had kissed other people, but no, he hadn't had a lot of practice - he was a bit clumsy, and hesitant, but Kurloz's slow, gentle movements seemed to be helping ease him into it. His fingers curled lightly into his palms as the younger boy stroked his wrists, and he made a soft, low noise into the Slytherin's mouth. His lips parted further, and experimentally he flicked the tip of his tongue along Kurloz's lower lip.

This was ... nice. More than he expected it to be, really. It helped that the other boy was so non-threatening .. and good looking.

Kurloz took Herbert's clumsiness in stride, snaking his tongue out to stroke along the boy's curious one. His own lips parted readily in open invitation for Herbert to explore, should he want to, and his hands slipped down further to tangle their fingers together.

The finger twining was an affectionate little detail that shook Herbert for a moment - it was almost too sweet, too much like what a real boyfriend would do, and his cheeks darkened. Of course, this close Kurloz wouldn't be able to see it, so the Ravenclaw was spared some embarrassment, and he closed his eyes fully as he squeezed back a little, his own slender, clever fingers twisting around the Slytherin's. Herbert had a surgeon's hands, slim and graceful where the rest of him was more awkward and stiff.

He knew a bit more about what should be going on with the mouth, though, and he cautiously licked into Kurloz's, tongue slipping past teeth to flit over the Slytherin's tongue, mapping out contours curiously.

Kurloz's long, near spindly fingers were just as graceful, an artist's hands that allowed him to fluidly form the signs to let him communicate. For now they squeeze gently around Herbert's, using them to tug the boy closer to him. As the Ravenclaw's tongue began exploring his mouth, Kurloz sighed happily, sucking at the organ to coax Herbert into being bolder.

Herbert made another soft sound, going up onto his knees as he was tugged forward. He took the invitation, kissing Kurloz more deeply, and therefore more clumsily, though part of him was complaining internally, What do you think you're doing? This is just going to end up being frustrating and it's not like you even fancy him, even if he is very attractive. What's the point? The rest of him, though, didn't really care what the point was, because it felt nice and it was something that didn't make him feel bitter or hurt or sad.

Happy with the progress, Kurloz keeps himself to the submissive role, reciprocating the kiss and letting Herbert control the movements. His tongue twined around Herbert's, massaging and teasing it more while running his teeth along the shorter boy's lips.

Herbert freed one of his hands, so he could grip Kurloz's shoulder to help keep himself upright. It probably wouldn't help things if he just spilled into the other boy's lap. He wasn't exactly comfortable with the aggressive role, but he was used to it, considering the one person he'd spent the most time kissing hadn't really been into it as he was, and so he pushed himself forward a little, into Kurloz, and took thorough advantage of his mouth.

After what seemed like a long time, he finally pulled back a few inches, if only to take a proper breath and blink owlishly at the Slytherin from behind fogged up lenses.

Giving a parting nip to Herbert's lips, Kurloz smiled brightly up at him, tilting his head to one side in a questioning way to ask how Herbert felt now. It probably helped that Kurloz's lips were swollen red from the kisses and his cheeks were just the tiniest bit pink under his tan, but hey! He just wanted Herbert happy again.

The smaller boy sat back on his heels and took his glasses off, polishing them on his shirt. His own cheeks were pink, and he seemed a bit flustered, not sure what to say. It was strange, to see Kurloz in such a different light, and he didn't know what to do with that, nor with the bid his hormones were making to ask for more.

"Um. Yes. Thank you."

Kurloz grinned and winked, kissing Herbert on one pink cheek before straightening up and giving the boy his space.

The quill certainly didn't waver in its writing just as Kurloz (for some odd reason) didn't find the experience awkward at all.

It was a punch to the ego to find that Kurloz didn't seem to have much more of a reaction than if someone had given him, say, a particularly well made piece of pie. But on the other hand, Herbert figured he'd probably done this a lot. More than the little Ravenclaw, certainly. He tried to gather himself, stop looking like a blushing idiot, and he cleared his throat. At least there wasn't any kind of emotional whiplash with Kurloz, and for that he was grateful. His cock, however, was a little annoyed.

"Thank you for appreciating them, I suppose," he said, letting his hands fall into his lap again, "I've never paid much attention to that kind of thing. It's not usually a priority."

Kurloz gave Herbert a curious look with a hint of eagerness around his smile.

"Huh?" Herbert asked intelligently. He couldn't figure out why the other boy would want to do that - the first time was clearly because he was trying to be a good friend and cheer the Ravenclaw up, but what would be the motivation for more?

On the other hand, did it really matter? Kissing was actually a rather good distraction from his own misery, and if Kurloz actually wanted to ...

"Um. Okay. Sure."

Kurloz grinned and leaned in again, not bothering to start slow this time and letting his tongue slip into the shorter boy's mouth in a kiss that deepened almost instantly.

Herbert made a faint noise of surprise as the speed, but he was certainly game - his own lips parted readily, even eagerly, and he met Kuloz's tongue with his own. He couldn't help thinking, rather wryly, that this would be excellent practice for all the boyfriends he wasn't going to have. But then he pushed that thought aside in favor of just paying attention to the kiss, noting what the other boy was doing with his tongue, trying to match him, one hand braced on the Slytherin's thigh.

Kurloz leaned his thigh into Herbert's hand, deepening the kiss hungrily and dragging his teeth roughly over the boy's lower lip. The previous kiss had been for Herbert really - this one was for Kurloz, and Kurloz liked his kisses to leave a lasting impression. His hand moved to Herbert's lower back, slowly but surely moving up the boy's spine and stopping at his nape, nails lightly pricking his skin and combing through the short hairs there.

This was different. Entirely different, and yes, it was definitely going to leave a lasting impression. The smaller boy made a startled, birdlike sound into the kiss, but the depth of it worked well for at least temporarily short-circuiting his constantly busy mind. He shivered a little at the hand on his neck and opened his mouth wider, and from the way he was gripping Kurloz's thigh it was becoming increasingly obvious that Herbert liked the way the Slytherin was taking control. He had leaned forward far enough that he was almost in the taller boy's lap now, breath caught in his throat.

Far be it for Kurloz to deny Herbert access to his lap! A large hand grasps at the Ravenclaw's thigh to tug him down to straddle his legs, nipping at thin lips before delving past them again with his tongue. He completely plundered the boy's mouth and demanded his complete attention to that one kiss, fingers massaging at Herbert's nape as he held Herbert's head in place.

Oh! Herbert was pretty sure he'd never been in anyone's lap before (at least in the last ten years or so), and he made another of those bird-like sounds as he was settled on the Slytherin's thighs. His arms slid automatically around the taller boy's neck, though he wasn't quite pressed up against Kurloz all the way, not yet. He was totally open to the other boy's plundering tongue, though, tilting his head to give him better access as he felt his stomach doing odd flipflops. He hadn't realized he get so into this with someone he didn't fancy, but he had to admit, he was rapidly getting lost in what they were doing, his heart racing to try and keep up.

Kurloz's shoulder shook with silent laughter at the strange sound but then he threw himself into kissing Herbert senseless. His hand ran up Herbert's thigh to his hip, dragging him forward to press up against Kurloz's front. Kurloz loved kissing, though he didn't get to do it so much after the incident with Meulin, and he was attacking Herbert's mouth like a starving man who'd been set down in front of a banquet.

It didn't take long to overwhelm the smaller boy, who kind of felt like he was just clinging to Kurloz for dear life now. But it was a good kind of clinging - the way the Slytherin was attacking his mouth didn't give him any time to second guess any of this, all Herbert could do was react. Which meant he was squirming in Kurloz's lap and up against his front and was opening up beautifully to the kiss, taking in long, desperate breaths through his nose, because god, he didn't want to stop!

Kurloz's tongue delved deep into Herbert's mouth, not coaxing any more and instead taking everything he wanted from the kiss from the shorter boy. His nails dragged lightly over Herbert's scalp before getting a firm grip in the short hair and tugging lightly, breaking the kiss long enough to lap at Herbert's lips and to give the boy a second to gasp for some much needed oxygen. The reprieve didn't last long though and soon Kurloz dove back into the kiss with a hungry growl.

Dazedly, Herbert thought that he'd never kissed anyone so intensely into it as the Slytherin boy, and that included being pounced by Stark under the influence of a love potion. Maybe Kurloz kissed everyone this way (Herbert was guessing he did), but for right now all that attention and energy was focused on the little Ravenclaw, and it was hard not to be flattered and pleased by that. Herbert found himself fitting his body up closer to the taller boy, molding against him, and making soft, low noises into kiss. His hands trailed down Kurloz's back, rubbing up and down the Slytherin's spine in time with his breath.

Kurloz arched his spine as the small hands moved over his back, groaning near silently into Herbert's mouth and drinking in the boy's own noises. He kissing and kissing and kissing until he himself started feeling dizzy- and finally broke away. He was panting slightly but looking thoroughly pleased with himself, strange indigo eyes nearly black with his dilated pupils.
