[So somehow Ellis totally got what he wanted and convinced Nick to be his egg daddy. No one is quite sure how because mun sucks at tagging and we just don't know but the point of the matter is, they are partners. Glorious, majestic partners. And they are gonna raise this little egg together and it will be the best little snake ever.

Egg in hand, he approaches Nick and holds it out to him.]

[He snips, getting incredibly impatient with Ellis and his bullshit. This egg project has been a huge strain on his ability to deal.

A single eyebrow shoots up, but he isn't all thata put off. Ellis is pretty open with his adoration.]

It's not mutual. [He grumbles, trying to read his magazine again.] Do you have any idea how gay you sound?

[Nick is just..horrified. The longer this goes on, the more serious Ellis seems to be. That is just fucking disturbing.]

What the hell? [His brow twitches as he rolls up his magazine, staring hard at Ellis.] This isn't fucking funny, Ellis. You sound like a goddamn moron.

[He's so serious right now that it hurts, Nick. Why don't you understand? Why don't you take him seriously? He's also kind of scared right now. This is scary. Everything is scary. [Have you ever seen a face drop quite like this? Because Ellis's face is dropping like he's the most disappointed person on this planet. You can practically feel the happiness draining out of him and pooling on the floor below. That is his depth of heartbreak. Good job, Nick.]

[He's seen disappointment before, hell he's seen Ellis being a big fucking baby before. However, he honestly cannot recall the last time he saw anyone looking so damn heartbroken. It's really....

[Those are tears welling in his eyes, man. But he turns away to hide them, because he doesn't want Nick seeing him this way. His hand comes up to wipe at them and he takes a step back.]

[Nick is going to stare at his back, looking both horribly offended and just really fucking confused by all of this. Part of him feels a little bad for making ELLIS of all people cry, Ellis who has dealt with years of his abuse? It's not right.

He stands up, tapping his magazine on Ellis' shoulder.]

C'mon, you aren't upset 'cause I wouldn't let you smooch me. Right? [Suddenly he's a little nervous about losing one of the only people who deals with his shit.]

[Ellis is just going to sniff a bit loudly and bring up a hand to wipe at his eyes, and then his nose. He doesn't turn around, because it would totally give away the fact he is crying.]

[Except his tone clearly says yes. Yes he's very upset.]

Oh god. [He groans as Ellis begins to wipe at his eyes. For all that he complains about him, he certainly doesn't hate him. He just cannot fucking handle him at all.]

[Ellis just kind of shrugs and sniffs again. Honestly, he doesn't know, but that doesn't seem super relevant right now. All he knows is that his feelings are crushed and he doesn't know what to do with himself anymore.]

I'unno. Why's it matter anyway? Y'don't care or nothin', so I'll just get outta your hair.

[He's gonna start walking away now, wiping harder at his eyes.]

[Every sniff has Nick cringing and reeling, as if Ellis crying is his most volatile state and Nick can't handle it. He looks a little worried, but he's hiding under a deep set frown.]

Yeah, whatever. [He waves him off, turning to walk in the other direction.]
