Holiday Ghost Event: Road Less Traveled

WHAT: Due to visiting holiday ghosts, some students and staff find themselves living as they would have if something in their lives did or didn't happen. An alternate version who could be better or worse off!

[Murdoc, now Muirín according to her, is striding down the halls of the school trying not to look openly confused. She knows where she is, but something certainly feels...off. She isn't lost. No, never. She knows this school like the back of her hand. The way she's looking around seems to indicate that she isn't so sure of herself afterall.

She'll be pretty easy to recognise. Despite being an entirely different gender, she still has the scars on her face. She couldn't find HER clothes, so she's wearing meticulously resized men's clothes that will probably be familiar.]

[ ... hmm. It's not hard to see what's happened here, especially considering his own recent stint as an awkward teen again. Time to gloat a little!]

Donoghue. Have you decided to become a transvestite?

[She straightens as she hears that and whirls around to give him a disgusted look.]

Excuse me?

Those are men's clothes, aren't they? [He's going to take a gamble and assume this is like before, where he hadn't been aware there was anything different. This woman has a certain assurance to features and her walk that doesn't bespeak a man turned uncomfortably into a woman.]

[She looks taken aback for a moment, glancing down at the fitted but clearly male clothing with a disdainful scowl. Appearances are everything to either incarnation, so this is just the worst day for her.

Her expression darkens and she narrows her eyes, staring up at Rhys.]

What've you done with my clothes you filthy bastard?

[He sighs, and shakes his head at her.] Do you really think I'd indulge in a child's prank? I'm aware you don't like me very much, but when have I ever done anything so blatantly unprofessional?

I think you would, given the nature of that comment. [She nods and gives him a flat stare.]

Your entire existence is unprofessional, but I have no intention of listin' your short comings.

[Okay, he has to laugh for that one, really.] I'm not the one conducting affairs with my co-workers and arranging sham marriages. But no, I had nothing to do with your current condition.

I have absolutely no idea what you're goin' on about. [She says, cocking her head to the side. And it's true! She doesn't. Things wen't a little differently for her, luckily. Now she's curious..] What do you mean?

[He decides he might as well tell her the truth, since if she's anything like male Murdoc, she won't believe a word of what he's saying.]

Mm, usually you're a man. At least the iteration I know of you is, unless he's hiding something wonderfully well. Murdoc Donoghue. I think the castle is mucking about again.

[She is quite a bit like her alternate self, that much is obvious in the unsure expression on her face as she studies him, trying to tell if he's lying.

But what reason would he have for it? And she cannot deny that certain events, such as having a naked person in her bed and nothing but male clothing, bring logic to the claim.]

So it would seem. I suppose I've no reason NOT to believe you, though I do wonder if you can prove it.

[So, Feferi is trying to find her dad, she needs some help with homework, but of course she doesn't know that she isn't going to find father but a mother figure instead.

She finally does found him. She immediately recognizes the back of the robes, she ignores the long hair, thinking maybe some spell went wrong, and calls out to him.]

Hey da- Professor, i am glad i found you i've been looking for you everywhere!!

[Upon closer inspection, Feferi may notice that Murdoc is quite a bit shorter and far curvier.

She turns to the familiar voice, replacing her bewildered expression with a warm smile.]

Hello, love. Did you need help with somethin'?

[Ok, so Feferi has been going blind, had she not realize that this was a women not her father. But, she did found it off putting, that she was wearing his clothing, this was certainly strange!]

Hm, no sorry!! [She feels embarrassed now.] I thought you were someone else Miss! Are you a new teacher?

[She cocks her head to the side a little. Feferi doesn't seem to recognise her. But she's known her for quite some time. It's a little hurtful, but she supposes there's a reason for it.]

Excuse me? Feferi, it's me! Miss Donoghue! You know me, don't you?

[Walking down the hall, heading for food. Tony stops as he sees the teacher heading towards him. Looking her up and down, he's sure he knows the clothes, but is suddenly unsure as to why she'd be wearing him. Not only that she's a woman he hasn't seen before and so he's very curious.]

Huh, he works quick. I'm actually impressed.

[He's talking out loud, and to himself. Nothing really new for him.]

[Don't think she doesn't notice that look. She scowls in return, narrowing her eyes at Tony as he speaks.]

Who works quick, Stark? [She asks in a voice that promises death.]

[Looking vaguely like a deer in the head lights. How did she know who he was.]

Wow, this can't be a reputation proceeding me thing, can it? Because, this. This is unnerving.

[Rolling her god damn eyes.]

Really, Stark? I've been your teacher for nearly nine months. I thought you were gifted enough to know that. Although, it was incredibly daft of you to verbalise your comments.

[Blinks slowly then realises the pattern of her speech.]

Wait a second. Donoghue?

Okay, well this is new. Well I guess the scars and.. Outfit should have made that obvious but, hey. I know the wedding was a bit, jarring. But isn't gender reassignment kind of a bit, I don't know, extreme?

For the previous comment. The one I questioned and you were to flabbergasted to give me an answer to.

[She narrows her eyes. God, she wishes she could smack children. What the hell is he on about? What is going on!?]

I have absolutely NO idea what you're talkin' about, but you're well on your way to losin' more points.

Woah, he come on. Don't you think if I was going to confuse you on purpose I'd be doing something a little more clever than this? And what I'm trying to say that last time I looked, my Dark Arts teacher was a grizzled, and consistently grumpy man.

[He lifts his hands up in surrender to her. Really not wanting to lose more points, and kind of annoyed he accidentally lost 10 already.]

[She keeps her frown, but she's giving him a very confused look. This really doesn't seem like a joke, if it were, it wouldn't be funny in the slightest. Not at all like Stark's usual sense of humor.]

I think you are very confused, young man.

Yeah, believe me. The whole being confused thing hasn't escaped me. But more in a 'how has this happened' way, instead of a 'I hit my head and don't know what I'm saying' kind of way.

Mostly because you were a guy yesterday. You threatened to throw me out of class for getting on Herbert's case.

[Which wasn't anything out of the ordinary for Tony, in fact it's a hobby.]
