Shrieking Shack- Closed to Henry
So that's exactly what she's doing. She's sitting under a tree, bundled up in a hoodie and a small fire in front of her, warming her hands. She isn't quite sure if she's allowed to have a fire here, but it's whatever because she doesn't care. Besides, she charmed it so it wouldn't burn anything down, so on the off chance she gets caught, they can suck it.]

He was curious about the so called Shrieking Shack, too. Supposed to be the most haunted place in all of the UK, he heard. He wasn't very interested in ghosts and the like, not since actually seeing them in person, and even have one go through him once back when he was twelve, but still, he wanted to see if it was all it was made out to be.
Once he reached the hill, he had to admit, he was a little disappointed. It looked like just a shack, perfectly normal despite the lack of doors and windows, and absolutely silent. It certainly didn't live up to its reputation.
He was just wondering if he should go back when he noticed the fire. He took a few steps closer to it, trying to see past it and the smoke rising from the flames, but when he saw who it was, he stopped with a sharp intake of breath. It was Marina, the last person he was expecting to just run into like that. He immediately turned back towards the shack. She didn't want to talk to him, see him, or acknowledge him. He wouldn't give her a reason to get her mad if he could help it.
And so, he focused back on the shack, trying to find something interesting about it.]

Of all the fucking people.]
So now you're following me?
no subject
No. I didn't know you'd be here.
no subject
How convenient.
no subject
How would I even know you were here?
no subject
[And that's what she's convinced he's been doing, and she's annoyed at herself for not realizing it.]
What d'you want?
no subject
[Yeah, he didn't like that. He's a man of his word, damn it!]
I made a promise, I'm keeping it. I came here to see the so surprisingly quiet Shrieking Shack, not stalk you. I've kept my word, and stay as far away from as I could until now.
no subject
If you were as far away as possible, you'd have left school by now.
no subject
I'll just leave you alone.
[And so he turns and starts walking away.]
no subject
Besides, as much as she wants to deny it, she realizes she's being like her mother and that just isn't gonna fly.]
Stop.
no subject
Yes?
no subject
[She sighs.]
I don't care if you look at the damn shack.
[She's saying in her own words that you can stay. For now.]
no subject
Thanks.
no subject
[She doesn't know what else to say, so she just. stays quiet for a few minutes, staring at the fire. This is fucking awkward.]
It's cold, there's a fire right here. Stop standing around like a dumbass.
no subject
But he takes up her offer, and sits in front of her near the fire. He doesn't really say anything, mostly because he doesn't know what to say. But the fire is nice.]
So... Has anything interesting happened in there [he nods towards the shack] since you've started coming here?
no subject
Nope. Whoever said it's haunted is full of shit. I just like coming here because nobody else does.
no subject
Huh... You'd think the hype would die down with that.
no subject
[A small, devious smile forms as she dips her head to hide it.]
Why don't we go find out?
[Consider this a test, Henry. Tread carefully, or you'll fail spectacularly.]
no subject
[Well! This escalated quickly.]
no subject
Not asking anymore. Now I'm telling. Get up, let's go.
no subject
Alright. Lead the way.
no subject
Without a word, she turns and starts heading off towards the shack.]
no subject
I don't suppose there's anything on the back either, is there?
no subject
Nope, it's sealed up tight. Only way we're getting in is by magic.
[She points her wand at the wall, going through a list of spells in her head before settling on the perfect one. At least, in her opinion anyway.]
