Joyeux Anniversaire
WHO: Friends of Sybille +Eridan and Cronus if they wanana
TONE: CELEBRATORY
RATING: Drunk
WHEN: The night of the 8th of November
WHERE: Hogsmeade, some fancy place
WHAT: Sybille is turning 36!! Murdoc is paying for everyone's dinner in celebration of this fact!
It's a lovely autumn evening and the weather couldn't be more perfect for dining out. It might be chilly outside, but the restaurant is warm, friendly and damn does it ever smell good. If you mention the names Donoghue or Matteris at the door you'll be lead to a private room with a table set for enough room for all the people who expressed interest in attending and more.
There aren't decorations because this is a tasteful, adult party. What are you? Twelve? There aren't seating arrangements either so pick a spot and stop fussing before Murdoc pushes you into the one furthest from the food.
The food is already served and spread across the table. Like hell he had any intention of sitting around while every single person decided they wanted the lobster. Pretty much everything looks good, but save room for cake you money absorbing food sponges.

FOOD/MINGLING/DRINKING

He's doing his best to look friendly but smiling is hard.]

Thank you for inviting me Professor. I'm sure you didn't have to, after all you could have kept this adults only, so. Thank you.

With that, he transfers the nuts he found on the table into Murdoc's hand.
His pokerface never falters.]

He raises an eyebrow, staring at him from the corner of his eye and tugging at his hand gently when he realises where it's going. He's trying not to make a fuss but DIRK WHAT ARE YOU DOING.
Then, he feels something in his hand. He tugs his hand back, moving it closer to him but not lifting it where anyone can see. He's trying again to be subtle as he unfurls his hand, but it's a little strange to see him just staring at his hand with confusion.
He shrugs it off, curling his hand back into a fist and punching Dirk on the thigh while keeping a serene expression.]

After a moment, he just gives Murdoc a lazy smirk, and when no one is looking he mouths the words 'There's more where that came from.']

He doesn't care if people are watching, he rolls his eyes dramatically and makes an exasperated noise at Bro. Why do you do these things to him?]
no subject
So he's going to do something that might warrant even more punishment later. He slides his foot over, careful not to nudge anyone elses by accident, and nudges Murdoc's. Then, he slides it up and down Murdoc's leg slowly. ]
no subject
He turns his attention away for a moment, only to feel Bro's foot on his leg. He isn't going to deny that he likes the way it feels, but it's highly improper. He scowls across the table at Bro so he can see how displeased he is!]
no subject
He continues running his foot up Murdoc's leg, while at the same time raising his eyebrows, as if wondering what could possibly be Murdoc's problem. He knows Murdoc really can't do anything about it without giving them both away.]
no subject
He turns his head away with a sniff to look at something across the room, trying not to let his cheeks go pink. His leg shifts just a little bit closer and he's trying so hard to look poker faced.]

So for now she'll just keep thumbing through an old copy of a Tolkien novel and people watch. She's just quite nicely herself, though that's to be expected.]
no subject
Only he's terrible at actually trying to make conversation at the moment so he's just going to stand next to her.]
no subject
Unnerving? Maybe a little if you know what she is. Ask about it. I dare you.]
no subject
Thank you for comin'.

[Why so cautious? She's not going to bite. Maybe. At least not when she's sober.]

I thought you weren't fond of parties, dear.

[There's little point in lying. Very few people know her as well as Sybille. She smiles and takes one of the woman's hands with her free one, lifting it to her lips to press a kiss to the back of it.]
But I would not miss one of yours for the world.

Even if her smiling at everyone could be a bit off putting to those who are more delicate.]
