Last Friday night

WHERE: Salvador Vantas' classroom
WHAT: Rose is hitting up the festivities a little early with a little Masquerade Tea Party! Food, drinks, and music! Everyone is invited so mix and mingle and party till you can't party no more. Or at least until teachers shoo the students off to sleep.


With much planning and preparation involved, is delighted to see that everything is going according to plan for the party. She has left invitations tacked to boards so many can see and has even went to the network to remind everyone. She was excited to say the least. It was her first time setting up a party. She wasn't her mom and didn't have the experience, but she likes to think that she did a pretty good job getting everything together while juggling everything else.

[Rose walks up to Banner.] I guess dressing up isn't really your thing?

[Rose tries to clap the most enthusiastically without being too obvious about it. She wants to make sure she has only the most ladylike of clapping, but she's very impressed.]

That was refreshing.

[Glances at her and smiles apologetically.]

I didn't have anything fancy in my trunk and I felt bad asking for my parents to get me something... I hope you don't mind?

You astound me with your appetite, do you know that? It's positively astounding.

[Rose isn't sure whether to be impressed or what.]

[Rose has been trying to speak to everyone, but it's rather difficult with so many people.]

I didn't think anyone else here had taken dancing before. I was expecting most, if not everyone, to dance like Thor.

Thank you. I'm glad so many seem to be enjoying themselves. It's exactly what I was hoping for!

I'm glad. Have you made friends and settle in? Your brother is very fond of you and worries.

Of course I don't mind. [She knows that she's lucky in that regard. If she wanted something, she could get it with ease.]

You have a mask and that's all that is really needed. And as long as you're enjoying yourself, I have no reason to be upset.

I am not sure what one does at these events. [From looking around it just seems like students being themselves but with masks on to him.] Is there some sort of itinerary?

...maybe just a little. It's nice to see everyone having fun though, given the slightly tense atmosphere we've been having in the castle. It's a good change.

But they really aren't. But hey, it gives me something to be amused at at least so really the evening is never a total loss.

Here's a tip. Wanna fit in more. I wouldn't start with saying 'normal juvenile behaviour', just relax and be yourself then it's easy.

Which means I'm better at it than you might think. So want to let me look a little less 'that awkward kid that wears a mask to class, like danger mouse' and more 'Woah, who is that masked man, I must kiss him'
