Wake me up when September ends

WHERE: Ravenclaw 6th year boys dormitory
WHAT: After having spent a while as a girl only to then be subjected to the full moon weekend, Bruce is too wrecked to bother with classes and has opted to stay in the dorm for the Tuesday hiding in bed.
STATUS: [ONGOING]

Perhaps it was thanks to the rampaging hormones that had only just barely begun to settle before full moon, or because he was stressed over Hulk telling him to DIE (loudly at that, thankfully the goat couldn't speak any more) or people dropping dead and others coming back to life.

Whatever the cause, full moon had been especially nightmarish this time and Bruce could barely bring himself to open his eyes the next day, let alone drag himself back to his dorms from the Shrieking Shack before sunrise.

So it had come to be that he'd just given up on being a good student and had spent the entire day dead to the world in bed. It wasn't until close to dinner time that he even stirred, opting to stay curled up in bed with his drapes drawn and examining his new scars, making sure none were bleeding or potentially infected.

"Uh... huh. Knock yourself out," he answered, rolling his eyes and retreating back into his bed. "What unusual things are you investigating then?" he asked through the curtains.

"Nothing to concern yourself with. Just a response to the sudden Ministry presence at the school. Better to keep track of all oddities than group them into that general understanding that weird things always happen at Hogwarts." Sherlock continued pining things, adjusting Bruce's bedding as was useful.

"If you say so then I won't," he answered with a snort, closing his eyes and tucking his hands under his head. "Are you sure you need to keep track of everything?"

"As much as can be useful. Minor occurrences might be bigger parts in an overall picture." Sherlock peeks through the curtain. "You haven’t witnessed anything suspicious, have you?"

Bruce opens an eye and stares up at Sherlock, answering drily, "Gee, I don't know, I was a bit distracted by suddenly having a uterus."

[3potionproblem]

"Any fun, that? Always thought it fortuitous to be born male." Sherlock went back to poking things in his drapes.

[greenmoonrising]

"Uncomfortable at most," he answered frankly. "I guess girls are better at dealing with their breasts when they've grown up with them. Also, guys treat you differently when you're suddenly a girl but the same person inside."

"Teenagers, Banner. Ridiculously it's what's outside that counts with most hormonal responses. I’m sure Tony was over the moon.”

[greenmoonrising]

"Flashing him my tits by accident probably sent him as far as Saturn," he answered flatly, closing his eye again and breathing a long, exhausted sigh.

Sherlock can't help but chuckle a bit at that. "I need to make a note to pay more attention to those I room with. I think I have begun to take for granted the absurdities you all can provide above more than simple annoyance."

[greenmoonrising]

He snorted at that, keeping his eyes closed. "Glad to know we can still provide you with amusement."

[3potionproblem]

"I'd be disappointed otherwise. Not something you should ever desire." Poke. Poke poke. "Must be very... interesting. To be you."

[greenmoonrising]

All that poking causes an eye to open and stare up at him again. "What do you mean?"

[3potionproblem]

"Just in consideration of all the variables that make up your life in general. You're excellent practice for me. Especially with Tony in the mix."

[greenmoonrising]

Excuse him while he frowns. "Practice for what?"

[3potionproblem]

"People. Relationships. The mundane but inevitable science of attraction."

[greenmoonrising]

"... Are we talking about relationships or... 'relationships'?"

[3potionproblem]

"Is there really a difference? I mean, one can become the other. Species that do that are still the same thing whether they are caterpillars or butterflies."

[greenmoonrising]

"Caterpillars become butterflies," he muttered, running a hand over his face. "So you've suddenly become fascinated with my non-existent love-life?"

[3potionproblem]

"As part of a larger study on the effects of captivity on the young, wizard male." Shelock peeked around the drape again. "Tony's not in there with you right now, is he?"

[greenmoonrising]

"Captivity...? Of course he's not," he huffed, frowning more. "He'd have been well into running his mouth off at you 10 minutes ago if he were."

[3potionproblem]

"Quite right. He's harder to shut up than me." Sherlock went back to his task, done poking thing in and instead down to mapping things out with string.

"It's a time sink if you ask me but to each his own in these respects I suppose. Can't possibly do too much harm overall."

[greenmoonrising]

"What's a time sink?" he asked tiredly. He could barely keep up with Tony's thought processes - Sherlock was even worse!

"Boyhood romances. Hormones are unpredictable and experimentation is generally encouraged in that 'get it out of your system' sort of way. But in the end it's just something to pass the time, isn't it? After seventh year, we all go our separate ways after all."

[greenmoonrising]

"... Uh-huh. Be that as it may, sometimes it's hard to ignore your body's sudden chemical impulses," he muttered, closing his eyes again. "You won't mention this to Tony, right? My infatuation I mean."
