It started like a typical meeting for supplementary lessons. Dirk wasn't even one of Murdoc's students. Murdoc didn't even teach potions, and yet here they were. Murdoc knew enough, and Dirk wanted to learn more. For some unknown reason, Dirk liked being around Murdoc so this arrangement worked well enough. But then Dirk's imagination got the best of him. He was daydreaming a la Jack Sparrow when, without even realising it, he started seriously thinking of himself as a real life pirate! Abruptly, he pushed his book aside and stood on the table, arms akimbo. "Arr, Captain! Let's go find some booty!"

[Ikol, his magpie that randomly started talking and following him around constantly yesterday, fluttered his wings]

"This Professor is not acting very professorial."

Quiet, Ikol!

[He cocks his head ever so slightly to the side.]

Did your chicken just talk?

Ikol! I said be quiet!

[Loki frowns and looks back at the Professor]] Yes. He started talking yesterday. It is most troubling.

[He stares for a long moment before reaching forward.]

Hand him over.

[Loki thinks for a moment. The Professor is acting most strange, perhaps he has been cursed or something of the sort...]
