WHERE: Just outside the Great Hall
WHAT: It's the morning after full moon weekend and Bruce is more than a bit exhausted. He might be more irritable and absent-minded than usual, so what's stopping you from bugging him?
STATUS: Ongoing

Full moon is never fun for Bruce but adding the stress of travel to it had left him more fatigued than usual. If anyone had seen him the day before and how dishevelled he looked then, they'd think he was ready to keel over and die at any second now. All colour was gone from his face save for the even darker shadows around his eyes and the red in his lips, and was that perhaps a glint of green in his eyes when he walked through a beam of sunlight? He needed food but he wasn't too sure he was up to being around people that day, so he hesitated and stared at the entrance of the Great Hall, leaning against a wall for support.

[Glances back at with tired eyes and smiles a bit.]

Oh, nothing much. Wondering if I have enough motor control to not fall into my breakfast. Yourself?

Mm. Likely you need protein. You should keep some on hand near where you sleep. Maybe a cold pasty. [still studying him with that sharp, birdlike way he has] Are you coming in?

[greenmoonrising]

[Fidgets a bit at the sharp stare and shrugs, moving for the entrance.]

I'll remember the pasties in future. Me and my lack of an immune system huh? [Smiles wanly.] Good thing I'm not interested in Quidditch.

[preanimator]

Yes, that's one way to put it. And of course you're not interested in Quidditch, you're actually a sensible person with the proper priorities. [following, watching Bruce intently]

[greenmoonrising]

[Laughs dryly and glances back at him.]

Yeah uh... have I got something on my face?

[preanimator]

Not that I'm aware. [totally not going to address the implication that he's staring]

[greenmoonrising]

Oookay... [Keeps shuffling awkwardly into the Great Hall, making his way for the Ravenclaw table.]

[preanimator]

[Following, setting his book down at the spot next to Bruce.] Do you feel like eating meat around these times?

[greenmoonrising]

[Doesn't look up from his hands, carefully buttering a piece of toast and answers calmly:]

No more than I usually do, why?

[preanimator]

Protein, of course. It's generally what's needed during an ... illness. Or to repair traumatized tissue.

[greenmoonrising]

I'm not sick, just suffering from temporary insomnia. [Nibbles on buttered toast and blinks innocently at him.] Do my panda eyes look that bad? One of the kids on the train asked me if I'd gotten punched because they looked like bruises.

[preanimator]

They don't look like bruises, they're the wrong shape and color. [dismissively] And depending on what causes the insomnia, that is actually a type of illness. [little smile to himself as he sits down and starts to eat]

[greenmoonrising]

To the trained eye obviously, but most kids don't notice the difference. [smile]

In this situation we'll say the stress of a new year at school with the daunting task of being a Prefect on my shoulders. That's enough cause for insomnia right? [nom nom nom he feels like puking because he really can't stomach food too well right now but he doesn't want Herbert noticing because KID IS TOO SMART.]

[preanimator]

I don't know, is it? You're looking a bit green, there, Banner.

[greenmoonrising]

I'm not a psychologist so I wouldn't know - do I? Hm, I must look terrible today...

[Sighs and reaches for the pumpkin juice because some liquid might settle his stomach.]

[preanimator]

You do. [unapologetically] You should see Miss Maryam. I understand she's an adequate nurse.

[greenmoonrising]

I can always count on you to tell me the truth. [snorts] I'll drop by the Hospital Wing later if I'm still feeling peaky.
