[Normally, Billy would just beeline for his normal spot in the corner of the room and hole up with his own book(s).

But he recognizes the little boy next to the fire as the one who had been looking over his shoulder at the Gryffindor table throughout the entire feast. He's still tempted to ignore it, but...he's a prefect now. He has to set a good example.

He walks over and takes another chair in front of the fire, setting his own books down on the floor.]

[Loki looks over when he is addressed and puts on the best smile he can muster (which, given his proficiency in lying, is rather good). He quickly looks the other over, noting how odd the prefect badge looked on one who could not be more than a few years older than himself.]

Hello. I do not believe we have been introduced. I am Loki.

[He holds out a hand.]

Billy. I...you're one of the new first-years, right? I helped show you around the castle earlier.

Most of my time is spent alone, but I do not like making a habit of it.

I don't really know how, considering I'm new to this year, but yeah, I am. So...[He gestures to Loki's book.] What are you reading?

Well I would assume all fifth years are new to the year. I do not think you would be a prefect if you were re-doing the 5th year.

I mean, I'm not as old as the other fifth years. I skipped fourth year.

I like to think so. They won't let me skip 6th year because OWLs are a thing I have to study for.
