WHEN: The day of September 2nd for the train, and at night for the feast!
WHERE: Hogwarts Express/Platform 9 3/4 and The Great Hall
WHAT: Gotta get back to Hogwarts! Back to witches and wizards and magical feasts! Students and teachers are finally heading back to school on the Hogwarts express, and with the new school year means sorting for the first years!
STATUS: Ongoing!
NOTE: There is a thread for the Train back to Hogwarts, and the Feast, with a subthread for the Sorting! First years can comment to be sorted, and everyone else can greet their new house mates/students!

[ Equius is seeing this muggle-clothed boy curled up in a compartment, and it's a bit on the unusual side. So, he's going to be staring at the boy from the entrance with an incredibly scrutinizing gaze. No words yet, though. ]

[Bruce isn't so far gone in his sleeping not to sense someone's presence, and he keeps his eyes closed as he retorts:]

It's rude to stare.

[ He closes his eyes for a moment. Opens them again. Then he blinks a few times. Even though the boy can't see Equius trip up his staring. And he takes a step into the room. ]

You look decidedly unhappy. Most of the other passengers cannot contain themselves.

Are you ill?

[greenmoonrising]

[Blinks one red-rimmed eye open to stare up at him.]

No, just had a really late night.

[Smiles a little wryly.]

A lot of passengers are first years - you can't help but be really excited when it's your first train ride into Hogwarts.

A late night doing what?

[ He groans at the mention of first years, though... ]

I suppose. They could at least try to compose themselves, though.

Reading, last minute packing, the usual.

Don't tell me you weren't hyperactively excited when you first got on the train.

I suppose that is understandable, then.

[ He winces. First year... ]

Of course I was. I was just able to contain it.

They're 11 years old - just little kids. They shouldn't have to contain it.
