School Year Starting Logs: Train + Feast/Sorting!

WHEN: The day of September 2nd for the train, and at night for the feast!
WHERE: Hogwarts Express/Platform 9 3/4 and The Great Hall
WHAT: Gotta get back to Hogwarts! Back to witches and wizards and magical feasts! Students and teachers are finally heading back to school on the Hogwarts express, and with the new school year means sorting for the first years!
STATUS: Ongoing!
NOTE: There is a thread for the Train back to Hogwarts, and the Feast, with a subthread for the Sorting! First years can comment to be sorted, and everyone else can greet their new house mates/students!

Alfred? No, not yet, but I haven't exactly been looking for him.

[Arthur huffs again, then picks up the bag he'd brought in with him, shifting over to sit next to Bruce, opening it. There's all manner of sweets inside - most of them of the Muggle variety]

You want something?

[Leans shoulder against Arthur's but shakes his head at the offered candy.]

I'm not a big fan of sweets, thanks.

Hm, suit yourself. More for me then.

[He pulls out a small bag and sets the rest aside, but he doesn't open it, instead nudging his shoulder gently against Bruce's]

Careful, you'll lose your trim figure.

[Smiles a bit and closes his eyes, leaning his head back against the seat and sighing a bit.]

[He snorts slightly]

Can't be having that. I'm trying out for quidditch this year. Apparently.

[Arthur looks over at the other boy and frowns]

... Really, I can go if you'd rather sleep. No hard feelings.

[greenmoonrising]

[Chuckles.]

I'll be sure to show up in a cheerleader's outfit. Except for when you're against Ravenclaw.

[Yawns and shakes his head.]

If you're not gonna be bored, stay. It's... nicer with company.

... Sure.

[He lifts up a hand and ruffles Bruce's hair with a small smirk]

But go ahead and sleep, I'll manage to entertain myself.

Hey, don't mess with a man's do.

[Chuckles though and nods, yawning a bit.]

Think I will... wake me up when the food lady comes by?

Yeah, I will. No problem.

[A small smile is shot towards Bruce, and he shifts a little to get comfortable and give the other boy room to lie down again]

[Smiles and takes his glasses off, tucking them into his breast pocket and dozing off while staying seated.

Eventually he slips to the side and ends up resting his head on Arthur's shoulder.]

[Arthur pulls a book from amidst the sweets in his bag and reads quietly while Bruce dozes. He starts, just slightly, when he feels a touch against his shoulder and glances over at top of his friend's head]

... Alright, then.

[He murmurs it, and shifts slightly in an attempt to make the other boy more comfortable. Arthur is at that stage of being a teenager where everything is pointy, shoulders included, and he doesn't imagine he makes a comfortable pillow]

[No, he really isn't, so after a while Bruce sleepily opens his eyes partially, not fully conscious or aware of what he's doing, and shifts with a grunt until his head's in Arthur's lap and he's curled on his side along the seat. Mm, comfy at last.]

[He moves his book out of the way when Bruce shifts, and his eyes widen, face heating slightly when the younger boy makes himself comfortable. Oh. O.. kay then. Anyone watching would no doubt find the expression on Arthur's face somewhat comical as he struggles over what to do about this new development, then he rolls his eyes and sets his book aside.

At first, his hands just hover, then he rests one on his friend's upper arm and the other on his hair, his thumb twitching in idle circles against Bruce's scalp as he looks out of the window and.. just tries to ignore what he's doing]

[He twitches when the hand moves to his hair and makes a quiet approving noise, head nudging against the hand like a dog for more petting, resting a hand on Arthur's knee by his face.]

[He lifts his eyes to the ceiling and mouths something along the lines of 'god damn it Bruce', but he doesn't disturb him, despite how red he can feel his face is. His thumb shifts and rubs behind Bruce's ear]

Soft git..

[The happy noise is repeated louder, head tilting more into Arthur's thumb's movements, his own fingers curling lightly into the boy's knee.]

[Arthur pauses, then looks down curiously, lightly increasing the pressure as he carefully scratches behind the boy's ear.

Heh... what a weird reaction]

[greenmoonrising]

[He lets out a quiet sigh that's on the verge of being a moan, nuzzling Arthur's knee sleepily.]

Okay, that's a bit much, and if Bruce didn't look so genuinely shattered to the point that the blond boy would feel bad waking him, he may well have found himself on the floor. Arthur's thumb stops moving]

[Frowns and makes a quiet protesting noise, nuzzling knee more. Come on, chop chop.]

Bloody hell..

[What's he got himself into, here. Still, he keeps his voice low to avoid waking the boy up]

You're like a dog or something..

[... scritchscritch]

[Settles again and let's have a repeat of those sigh/moans, there's a good lad.]

[W... well. Okay then. Stuck between a rock and a hard place, he picks the lesser of two evils and just carries on petting Bruce's hair while the train speeds along. It seems to be keeping him comfortable, at least.

Even if it's doing nothing at all for Arthur's comfort levels that he keeps making those noises]

[Tony comes into the compartment, his head down as he seems to be doing something on his phone. Not even aware of Arthur's exsitance.]

And with that, I'm now out of range of anything remotely like a signal. At least I have it saved.

[Tony flops down on the bench in front of Bruce still absorbed in his phone for a moment before tossing it down next to himself in vague annoyance.]

Anyway, I'm thinking that I can probably alter the patornu-

[Tony looks up for the first time and see's Bruce. And Arthur. He looks at Arthur's face for a moment then let his eyes drop down onto Bruce's sleeping face in the Slythern's lap. His eyes slowly trade between both faces before settling on Arthur.]

'No intentions', huh? Before you can say; 'It's not what it looks like'. It looks like Big bad, there is getting very cosy with your crotch.

[His mouth strings out into a long smirk.]

And your fingers are in his hair. So, if that's not what this looks like... What is it?

[He keeps quiet while Tony talks, not that he can get a word in edgeways, and he's rather surprised at himself that he doesn't immediately turn beet red at the question.. and the insinuation. The boy frowns, but in the interests of not disturbing Bruce, still keeps up the light twitching of his thumb behind the sleeping teenager's ear]

I wasn't about to say anything of the kind. Bruce is tired, and for some reason is unconsciously insisting on this. I happen to be fond enough of him to not pitch him onto the floor, so here we are.

[Arthur keeps his voice low, and glances back out of the window]
