[Someone else has stumbled onto this one-man compartment. Longing for some peace and quiet, Greg had opted to search for a quiet seat. Quietly tip-toeing to an empty seat on the other end of the compartment, he settles in there and pulls out a out of his new textbooks to read. It wouldn't hurt to have an early start.]

[Bruce's ears and nostrils twitch, picking up the near silent sounds and obscure scent of Greg, whom he acknowledges with opening one red eye at and blinking tiredly.]

Hey.

[Greg raises an eyebrow before he shuts his book.]

You look like you've been in the wars.

[Only to realise a second later how bad that sounds.]

It's a saying. Not that you've actually been in the Wizarding one, but well. You just, look like the dog's gone and chewed you off and spit you out.

[Chuckles tiredly at that, shaking his head as he stretches and sits up.]

You have no idea... But do I look that bad today?
di_intraining: (Slightly annoyed)

Unfortunately, the bruise doesn't do you any favours.

...did someone do this to you?

[Blinks and then frowns before gesturing at his eyes.]

Jeez, they look that bad? These aren't bruises, it's fatigue.

[Pokes at them to show they don't hurt.]

The ones that look bad are the ones that have been there awhile. Fresh bruises don't look bad at all.

[Says all of this rather offhandedly.]

Still, you look a sight. Might want to get checked with the Healers at the hospital wing tomorrow morning before class starts.

[Rolls eyes and runs hand over face before adjusting his glasses.]

You sure are quite the charmer. It's nothing a good night's rest won't fix, I don't need to see the Healers.

[Greg shrugs and picks up his book to continue reading.]

Suit yourself. I'd still go and see them, just to make sure nothing's wrong internally. Those tend to be the ones that really end up killing you.
greenmoonrising: (And I've been wandering)

[personal profile] greenmoonrising 2012-09-03 01:17 pm (UTC)(link)
I should only be so lucky.

[Mutters it.]

You want injuries that kill you?
greenmoonrising: (I walk alonoe)

[Blinks with surprise, not realizing he was talking out loud. Still, it won't do to freak out other students with his morbid musings, so he gives Greg a small self-deprecating smile.]

No, no. I was just thinking about the work load we'll get this semester and had one of those "it'd be easier to roll over an die" type moments.
