Back to School Diagon Alley Festival! – Log 1

WHO: Anyone visiting Diagon Alley!

WHERE: Any and all of Diagon Alley
WHAT: There is a huge festival the whole week to let students get school supplies. People from all over are flocking to Diagon Alley for the best deals. That means you might meet new people or see old friends!
STATUS: Ongoing!
NOTE: Remember that this event is semi-open! Any HP AU character can have fun here, whether you're in the game or not, so have fun!

Really? Think you could suggest me some things to try out this year?

[Woah, asked for his advice on mellowing out! Sweet!] Yeah, I could even make you up some shit if you be wanting. I like to brew.

[BEAMING, not knowing what he's getting himself into!]

That would be awesome! I love playing around with potions, so it'll be cool to see what kind of stuff you make as well.

I can show you! I ain't always remembering how I do it until I'm actually all up and doing it, so sometimes that's easier. [admits] And then sometimes I be getting ideas in the middle of shit and adding things, too.

I get like that too! [Excuse him while he has a moment of glee at the prospect of a potions partner ~~in crime~~.]

I set up an enchanted quill and parchment while I'm working since I talk out loud, so some of my stuff get's recorded one way or another.

Oh, daaaamn, that's all big brained of you! I guess that's why you be one of them crow's feets; I never even thought of doing that. [Though it might be useless for Gamzee, and would likely end up with parchments filled with meandering ramblings about other subjects entirely.] I just kind of got to be all remembering by doing, 'cause otherwise it just be falling out through the holes in my pan.

Not really - my dad suggested it after I melted his table by accident when trying to take notes by hand while stirring.

[Chuckles sheepishly and ducks his head with embarrassment.]

I nearly all up and did that once. [nodding in sage understanding] You got to keep your motherfuckin' eyes on the game. But I probably can't do shit for awhile, because I got detention for a month.

Aw man that sucks. [Gives a sympathetic look and pat on the shoulder.]

Hopefully if it's for the full month they'll just have you doing things for an hour each night rather than the whole night?

I don't know. It's with Professor Donoghue, and I think he might hate me because I think Eridan has a nice ass. [sighs] I guess I'll be finding out.

I doubt he hates you... [Hesitates and pats Gamzee on the shoulder.]

He's protective of his son, that's all.

Well, it ain't like I ever touched his ass. I wouldn't do that unless a brother asked me to. [Because, you know, if a friend asks you to touch their butt, you kind of have to.] And his da's got a nice one, too! But I guess all noticing and shit is kind of motherfuckin' foul to them. [morosely]

Hm, well, Eridan is a bit young, so I guess the Professor's just worried you might take it beyond just noticing and be a bit more hands-on?

I mean, Eridan's gonna grow up someday, and his father's going to have to deal with the fact that, like it or not, his son's going to have sex. Maybe with guys. [Shrugs and squeezes hand on shoulder gently.] He's just being a protective old man, that's all.

He don't even like dudes! He ain't gonna be doing nothing with no motherfuckers, just chicas, and I wouldn't- [Gamzee bites his tongue, frowning - he's already made that point, and he wonders if Bruce thinks the same thing about him. That he'd do anything someone didn't want. It makes him feel a little sad that he's ever even given that impression.]

But anyway, I got me a month detention for it, so I guess he be protecting Eridan by keeping me away from him.

[Tilts head at the frown and answers slowly:]

I know you wouldn't force yourself on him, calm down. But like I said, he might end up fooling around with guys because let's face it - he's still pretty young.

[Hesitates and shrugs before adding:]

I didn't know I liked guys until really recently, and I'm 16.

[Glances to the side and rubs the back of his neck before giving Gamzee a sympathetic look.]

A month sucks, but I doubt he's doing it to keep you away from his son. I mean, he gave Maxim the same amount of detention didn't he?

Yeah, but Maxim's always making out with everyone, he'd probably make out with Eridan, too. [Gamzee points out, then cocks to his head to one side.] You like dudes? What about girls?

[Shrugs, looking awkward- well, more awkward than usual.]

Haven't thought about them - hadn't thought about guys either but... you notice one. Then something clicks. I guess I just don't care, I'm not one for pursuing romantic relationships. [Smiles a bit crookedly.]

But what about this motherfucker you noticed? [leaning in curiously]

[Blinks at and ducks his head.]

Um, what about him?

You ain't wanting to get with him, if you could?

Of course I do, but that's never going to happen because he's as straight as a ruler, no bends whatsoever.

[Smiles lopsidedly.]

What's puberty without a few one-sided crushes?

[Gamzee glances down at his hands briefly, face shadowed, but he looks like his normal, cheerful self when he looks back up again.] I guess you'd be all like Amelia if everyone you liked liked you.

[Pauses a moment and gives a gentle squeeze to Gamzee's shoulder, not saying anything before addressing what was said.]

Aha, yeah... not sure I could handle that much attention really.

I think you got to have some fine, bouncy chest bumps to be handling that. [Gamzee declares solemnly, as if the concept of boobs allowing a person to be more comfortable with being paid attention to makes perfect sense.]

[Just sputters and laughs because the image of himself with boobs is just- pffff- (oh irony)]
