WHAT: There is a huge festival the whole week to let students get school supplies. People from all over are flocking to Diagon Alley for the best deals. That means you might meet new people or see old friends!

She's reclining on the banister at the top of the staircase, reading a book with the stick end of a blood pop hanging out of her mouth.]

[A tall, lanky overly pale guy turns the corner. He's also dressed inappropriately for the wather. He's wearing a long sleeve flannel shirt with the collar popped, battered denim jeans and a wider brimmed fedora. [Someone is certainly excited to be in the book store. Sam's picking up every book he can find, turning them over in his hand, skimming a few pages, and then putting them back right where they came from. He looks more and more sad with each book he puts back, but the cycle will repeat until someone stops him.]

Are you going to Hogwarts? A first year? Me too. Do you like history? In that case I'd recommend you look at this book. _{[He points to Hogwarts, a History.} It's one of the required books anyway, but I was reading it earlier in the summer and it's really interesting.

There's so much to see, and Mother got so involved in a conversation that she told the girl to go her "some of her little friends". This was a delight! She's aiming to get to the Magical Menagerie, but there's plenty of places to catch her in-between.]

[With her parents busy chatting with each other as they checked her school books, Ib was completely happy to be left out of the conversation. She was more interested in capturing the sights of Diagon Alley, which is why she has a notebook out and is currently drawing out one of the nearby shops.

Her parents, realizing that they had forgotten one more book, told Ib to stay still at the cafe and not move while they picked it up. But really, they needn't tell her twice; she's already focused on her work again.]

They should have come earlier, or they should have simply ordered through the post because this is insane. She's already lost her three siblings, and even if they are in their teens, she's the oldest. She's supposed to keep an eye on them.

God she's almost looking forward to teaching. At least then the responsibility her siblings will fall into the hands of others for the most of the time.
