WHAT: There is a huge festival the whole week to let students get school supplies. People from all over are flocking to Diagon Alley for the best deals. That means you might meet new people or see old friends!
STATUS: Ongoing!
NOTE: Remember that this event is semi-open! Any HP AU character can have fun here, whether you're in the game or not, so have fun!

Tell me about it. There's only so much I can take of Wendy's Justin Bieber obsession.

[She closes the book she was flicking through, biting her bottom lip.]

It's harder than I thought it would be. I probably should've stayed with him a little longer, at least until I had a bit more control.

Oh god..I don't blame you there.

[He nods sympathetically. Been there.]

Yeah, the beginning is always the worst but trust me, getting out was the best thing you could have done.

Look, I'll totally help you out if you want. If your relationship was as bad as you've mentioned and as crappy as mine was, I'm willing to bet he didn't tell you some important stuff.

[It was pretty much the best thing she could've done. Even if he'd been sweet in the beginning, Ash had shown his true colours soon enough. Still, she couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at his possible comparisons.]

That'd be a huge help. I've gotten books on the subject but all they do is say how dangerous people like us are and bogus stuff like that.

[He quirked an eyebrow right back and nodded a little. Trust him Marceline, you're not the only one with a jerk of an ex.]

Of course the books suck. They're written by wizards. Did you know wizards classify vampires as "non-wizard PART humans"? Pretty freaking dumb thing to say since we were all fully human at one time or another.
I mean, yeah, some of us are dangerous but there are quite a few who actually want to have a kinda normal life.

[She looks a bit surprised by that before pursing her lips together.]

Well I guess that's what they meant at the ministry when they mentioned vampires being "outside Wizarding law". [She lowered her hands from using quotation marks.] But Merlin, talk about being complete butts.

Vampires usually do their own thing. There aren't really rules exactly but they look out for each other. If one vampire causes trouble that could bring attention or trouble to all of them...
[He mimes the motion of slicing across his throat.]
Well okay, maybe that's exaggerating a little but they'd still bitch you out a good one.
[He looks vaguely guilty after saying all of this.]

[She purses her lips together, raising a hand to twist the bloodpop around in her mouth thoughtfully.]

Glad I quit while I was ahead. Though...I don't think he'll come looking for me anytime soon. Not unless he can walk with his baby makers damaged three times.

Yeeeeah.
[He takes off the fedora and runs a hand through his already messy hair before replacing it on his head and laughs at the baby maker comment.]

That's awesome you did that. Sounds like he deserved it that's for sure. And besides, even if he was looking for you he couldn't get into Hogwarts.
Oh yeah, that reminds me..do you have a safe place to stay during holidays and stuff?

Well, I'm staying between Wendy and the guys in the band for a while. Maxim offered to let me live with him and his family in Mechanicsburg, but I'm not sure if that's still up. [She gives a small sigh.] I'm not even thinking about going home.

Well, I have a small place in The Fens. It's actually a basement level place underneath my familys crypt. I know, it's cliche as hell but it works out really well. I'm not there a lot since I like to travel around and play music but...you're welcome to stay there anytime. I could have a key made for you.
[At the mention of not going home his face falls a little and he sighs.]
...I never went home afterwards. I felt really bad just up and vanishing and putting my Mom through that but..I didn't want her to see me like this.

[Marceline bites her bottom lip before drawing her legs up, tucking them under herself so her heels are rested against the banister, crossing her arms over her knees.]

Thanks. Dad probably wouldn't care, and my mum's been dead since I was a kid, so there's no one to really worry back home. Dad hasn't even tried to contact me all summer, so it's none of his business if I never go back.

[marshall_lee]

[He hesitates a minute before moving around the banister and sitting beside her. Sure, they just met but she definitely needed someone to lean on. Figuritvely and literally.]

Ahh, so you haven't told him yet huh? That's always one of the harder parts.
If you need back up I'll help explain stuff to people if you want.

[And they say puberty is the hardest stage of a teenager's life. They've obviously never met a newborn vampire.]

It's not that I don't want to tell him. [She lets out a small huff that blows some hair from her eyes.] I'm still annoyed about something he did when I was younger. We're not exactly on good speaking terms.

[Twice the turmoil and three times the suck.]

Ahhh I gotcha. [He's not going to pry. Merlin knows she has enough things going on right now.]

Well, I'm sure you'll tell him when you're ready.

[She shrugs before giving him a small smile.]

Anyway, I don't want to bore you with my daddy issues. How'd you like the gig the other Friday?

I'm not bored. If you gotta vent, go for it. But hey, I thought the gig was awesome! You guys are really good..I think you have a unique sound.
