WHAT: There is a huge festival the whole week to let students get school supplies. People from all over are flocking to Diagon Alley for the best deals. That means you might meet new people or see old friends!

[Why did today of all days have to be anywhere near hot. Marceline is hiding out in the book store of all things, wide brimmed sunhat covering her head and shoulders while a pair of elbow-length gloves cover her arms, a neckerchief around her neck. She's reclining on the banister at the top of the staircase, reading a book with the stick end of a blood pop hanging out of her mouth.]

[ Upon peeking into Madam Malkin's, Sal's going to be met with an Equius walking right into him, clearly not expecting someone to appear in the door frame just as he was leaving in such a rush. Sadly for Equius, he's caught so thoroughly by surprise that he's fallen right on his butt, partially sitting on a bag that looks like it's holding a new robe.

And considering he hasn't quite noticed who he's bumped into, Equius is quite cross. ]

[Someone is certainly excited to be in the book store. Sam's picking up every book he can find, turning them over in his hand, skimming a few pages, and then putting them back right where they came from. He looks more and more sad with each book he puts back, but the cycle will repeat until someone stops him.]

Well I was gonna just window shop but I mentioned to my parents that I needed a new broom for Quidditch this year.

[He brings a medium-sized, orange money pouch out of his back pocket, balancing it in his hands.]

They gave me enough for a Comet but...I wonder if I could earn some extra.

[Shiemi is browsing the shelves for something to treat her little friend, a teddy bear hamster named Nii, who is currently sitting in between the folds of her kimono. She sticks out a little because of her attire, but she doesn't seem to notice.]

Let's see... Maybe a new toy? You've almost chewed through the last one I got you...

[After a day of fruitful shopping, Ib and her parents were at the cafe to get something quick to eat. Her parents had taken the time yesterday to figure out the Wizard's currency system, and all that was left was to order something.

While they were deciding, Ib couldn't help but notice the strange man sitting in the corner with his cup of coffee. Everyone seemed to be giving him mean looks too, but what caught her eye was the tattoo on his arm. It seemed very well-inked, and she couldn't help but stare at it.]

[He's been distracted by them for a while now!]

Dad said we could only get an owl. And besides, it's not like I could take it on the road with us - there's only so much room in the Impala.

_{[Now that he mentions that, he hopes he isn't here. He strictly budgeted for this, after all. He doesn't want the migraine of dealing with Gilbert wanting everything. Sometimes he wonders if he's not the older brother.]}

[Rapunzel is always a little overwhelmed - in a good way - with Diagon Alley. There's so much to see, and Mother got so involved in a conversation that she told the girl to go her "some of her little friends". This was a delight! She's aiming to get to the Magical Menagerie, but there's plenty of places to catch her in-between.]

[With her parents busy chatting with each other as they checked her school books, Ib was completely happy to be left out of the conversation. She was more interested in capturing the sights of Diagon Alley, which is why she has a notebook out and is currently drawing out one of the nearby shops.

Her parents, realizing that they had forgotten one more book, told Ib to stay still at the cafe and not move while they picked it up. But really, they needn't tell her twice; she's already focused on her work again.]

There's enough room for for a toad if you wanted one of those. But you might as well go looking by a pond or something instead.

[She quickly exchanges the wand she's holding for another one and gives it a small swish. A shelf above Dirk's head shoots across the room.]

I've heard that the wrong wand can do all sorts of things! Do you think I could accidentally hurt someone? Or turn them into a frog? What do I do if that happens?

Oh! Sometimes I offer to put up posters around Glasgow or do the mail run or clean up junk for people. My absolute favourite thing to do is Grandstand though.

Duh. I should just cash my Struggle winnings in at Gringotts and exchange Muggle money for galleons!
