WHAT: There is a huge festival the whole week to let students get school supplies. People from all over are flocking to Diagon Alley for the best deals. That means you might meet new people or see old friends!

[When he addresses Terezi again, her apparent irritation is gone.] Okay, here's the situation, Agent 116. I'm looking for good books on hexes that aren't on my list, that hopefully come in braille. Mum is supposed to be helping me, but she sucks.

I'm looking for good books on hexes, that aren't on this list, and that come in braille. You've got to ask the clerks about the braille editions.

He pokes his head around the shelf and quirks an eyebrow.]

Well, first reading up on the sorts of creatures that live in the forest, what the dangers are, and how you can avoid them or keep them from harming you. And in the case of students, being accompanied by a professor who will keep you from getting in over your head.

Why's the professor necessary? If you've done the first step, what difference does your age make?

Professors are fully accomplished witches and wizards, with quite a bit more experience. It's not necessarily a matter of age, but ability.

Well in general, yes. Even for adults, it's best to undertake dangerous research with a partner.

So getting a professorial escort is really just putting the professor in danger, unless they take along a third person with more experience than them.

Well, depending on the level of experience required, I suppose... something can be too much for a student but fairly easy for a professor on their own.
