WHAT: There is a huge festival the whole week to let students get school supplies. People from all over are flocking to Diagon Alley for the best deals. That means you might meet new people or see old friends!
STATUS: Ongoing!
NOTE: Remember that this event is semi-open! Any HP AU character can have fun here, whether you're in the game or not, so have fun!

[Miria gasps as she's suddenly addressed and spins around with a dramatic flourish to find that oh! It's Tony! Having recognized him, she rushes over to meet him, positively beaming as she does so. ]

Somehow I'm hurt that no one has ever felt the need to speak in awed tones about my skill on a broom.

That I still can fly? maybe four. In total, probably about six. I'm in the market for number seven though.

But I don't know if I'm happy enough with anything here. And I really can't wait till I'm old enough to make my own.

[Katniss is coming out of a shady shop with a bag full of things. Not evil things, but not the nicest stuff or the most legal stuff.]

[Natasha doesn't like that smug look on his face at all. Her elbow slips out to try and hit him in the ribs as she walks near him.]

They should give out nose plugs when people enter.

[So Mamma may have given Maxim a shopping list of hard to get English ingredients. Maxim might just be taking the initiative to get them without being asked! Either way, he's in the apothecary, he's not far from Bruce, going through herbs and animal parts with an appraising eye.]

Hmmm, what about rodents? [She moves to pull Nii-chan out, holding her carefully in both hands. She looks completely chill with this.] Like Nii-chan! She's a hamster.

[He smiles in greeting and chuckles.]

That or try airing out the place once in a while. I swear I think a rat died in here a few hundred years ago and they didn't bottle it up.

[Bruce starts backing away from the shelves without concentrating on where he's going, still avidly staring at all the strange ingredients, and as such ends up bumping into Maxim.

He turns with a start and stammers:]

Oh geez, I'm sorry-

It must have been a rat the size of a troll.

Or maybe the size of a small dog - even small things can kick up quite the stench.

[Maxim doesn't even falter. In a family where bodyslams are an acceptable form of greeting, you either get used to be bumped, or you're doomed to forever being thrown to the floor.]

Iz no vorry, sveethott. [He chuckles, turning to Bruce with smile, brushing a bit of hair from his eyes] Voz chust a leedle luff tap, yah? [He winks, bumping his hip against the other boy]

Well, people only gossip about me when there's something worth gossiping about. My being good at something isn't really something everyone is going to care, or be surprised about.

I've had a broom ever since I was four, and I'm one of those rich kids everyone hates, so yeah.

Want to come in and help me look?

[O... kay, Bruce needs a moment to translate what he just said into English and he's still a bit stuck on what 'sveethott' is! In any case, he smiles and ducks his head at the hip bump.]

Still, I should've watched where I was going.

[Time to make his head explode.]

[With a flick of his hair, he steps closer to Bruce, cocking his hips forward] Oh dollink, really, iz no problem! Hyu ken bump into me eny time hyu vants.

[Bruce just. Blinks. And uh. Backs up, eyes wide and is he blushing? His cheeks feel a bit hot, what, uh, seriously, are you hitting on him? Why would you do that???]

Uh, I ah... okay?

[Because watching people get flustered is hilarious. And cute. And Bruce is cute too.]

[He moves with the other teen, keeping the distance between them equal]

Hy tink Hy know hyu, sveetie. Hyu in Raveclaw, yah? Hy iz Maxim Jaeger, ov de Gryffindor haus.

[He backs up again because WOAH MAXIM, EVER HEARD OF PERSONAL SPACE???

Maxim... OH, the guy who went skinny-dipping with Thor! Didn't recognize you clothed there buddy-

Bruce blushes more at the thought and ducks his head, smiling up at Maxim shyly and offering his hand.]

Uh, yeah, I'm Bruce Banner from Ravenclaw, nice to officially meet you, Maxim.

[arrogantalloy]

[Tony leans against a table with various herb sachets.]

Normal guys like the ideas of girls being around them. Even Thor does, and really, if Steve knew what to do with a girl if he had one, he'd like their attention too.

[Looks a little concerned]

Guess I shouldn't be surprised to find a slythern wandering out of a place like this.

[If Bruce thought he was getting a handshake out of Maxim, he thought wrong. Instead, when Maxim takes his hand, he pulls off his hat and bows his head, bringing Bruce's hand up to his lips.]
