Yay camp!

WHAT: First two days of camp! Time to get settled in and explore what's around.
STATUS: ONGOING

The camp isn't too different from any other camp. Cabins where people will stay, a space for a bonfire, a nearby lake for everyone to swim in, and of course, a thick morning mist all around the camp, because it's pretty early in the morning.

Still! There's stuff to do already. Those beds won't assign themselves, nor will those bags unpack themselves. Like it's just been said, there's no marked beds, so it's up to each and every one of you to work out the sleeping arrangements yourselves.

But once you're done, you're free to roam around, take a swim, climb a tree, explore the woods, and other assorted camp activities you do when you have free time.

[Well, well, well. Guess who is already sneaking away from the campsite? It's fun to be amongst so many of her friends at once and the cabins help in that, but she still think it would have been better if they had just been tossed out into the wild with nothing but the clothes on their back. Wandering aimlessly through forest is nothing new to her

She may or may not have dragged some poor hapless soul along with her. Or perhaps she came across another wild spirit who enjoys the freedom the wilderness bring. Who knows.]

[Alfred's got a similar mentality, and he's actually a little ahead of her, so when she shows up near the tree he's climbed, he waves at her with a grin.]

Hey there, kiddo! Goin' on an adventure?

[Sssh, she's not his age. He always calls younger students kids. Also he's hanging upside down off a particularly sturdy branch and looks silly.]

[Nepeta stops when she hears a voice, looking around her a bit before turning her gaze upward. When she sees Alfred she grins and waves back up at him, not minding how he addressed her at all.

She places her hands on her hips in a theatrical fashion and nods]

You bet! Who knows what adventures and treasures await a hero or heroine out there. Are you also seeking them?

[Guess who is one of those poor hapless souls.] How far do we go, Leijon? Or do you plan to have us be lost?

Purrlease! I have never once gotten lost. [Which, surprisingly isn't a lie. Nepeta has an excellent sense of direction and while most of the time she is wandering aimlessly she knows how to retrace her steps well.]

It's so much better out here--this is real camping. Not being holed up in a cabin and being given your food all the time.

I see nothing wrong with food given to us. [Kicks over a tree branch.] I never understand your idea of fun, Leijon.

Aww, come on, Vwhiskers! Don't you want a life of adventure? Toughing it out and then being proud beclaws you made it where others didn't even try?

[She moved aside some foliage and her grin could have been seen from miles away]

And besides. Somethings you can come upon a little treasure of your own. [She pulled it more and stepped aside so that Vriska could see a large, clean looking pond that rested beneath a large incline--almost a cliff, really. Perfect for diving off of]

Later, maybe. [She sniffs.] I am not in best mood right now, Leijon. Maybe I am not well enough to be as excited as you are here. [Not well enough not meaning sick just... off.

But when Nepeta shows her the pond and incline she stops for a moment to take it in. She gives her a small smirk.] You are good to find places like this, you know? Not bad.

[Oh Nepeta knew full well. It was part of the reason she had been so insistent on bringing Vriska along. She hadn't expected to come across a place like this, but she was not about to waste the opportunity.]

Why thank you!

[She stepped towards the pond and looked around, eyes cast towards the ground to look for any signs of animals that had come through. A couple of rabbit tracks, but nothing much bigger than that. It would be a safe place.]

This'll be a nice place to stay fur a while. [She slips off her sneaks and socks, carefully placing them aside and rolling up her pant legs.] So what's bugging you? [She asked the question idly, slipping into the water and bending down to dig at some of the roots growing along the edges]

Do you think we will find moose out here?

I bet we could!! And we could bring it back and show it off to everyone. [She didn't really know the first thing about tracking down moosen..mooses...moose..??? but hey! Maybe Thor did and they had to start somewhere, right?]

We could ride it and keep it as a pet! Everybody would be so jealous!!

Haha, could you imagine the looks on their faces when we returned to camp on it? [Gosh now she really wanted to] Do you know what we need to look out for in order to track one down?

[brothor]

Looks of envy, of course! [Grin!] We need to find their tracks!

[She tapped her chin]

Earlier I found a real nice pond with Vwhiskers. I don't think I saw any moose tracks, but it could be a good place to start. Moose gotta drink, right?

[brothor]

You are brilliant! Moose love water, I know it for a fact!

[She held up a hand for a high five]

Then that is where we shall begin our quest! Off to find our noble steed! [Nepeta remembered perfectly well where it had been and she led them off, arms in the air as if charging into battle]

[brothor]

[He smacks his own hand against hers, and grins like a maniac.]

Careful, warrior princess! There's many a strange beast in these lands! [He leans down to scoop up an impressive looking stick before jogging after her.]
