[The teachers deserve a break, for some reason, and Dumbledore decided to go with something a bit more muggle. A karaoke station is set up, full of cheesy songs that will only embarrass you. There are an array of costumes on a rack if you're feeling adventurous with your musical career. Go ahead, do it, none of the teachers would ever admit to being too afraid to sing.]

[He frowns a little as he brings up that subject and makes it pretty obvious that he is very touchy about it.] Yes. Quite some time ago, actually. You mean lad? Ha! No. It's just condescendin' comin' from someone so tall.

[grandhighwizard]

[snorts] If it helps, I call everyone at least thirty years my junior that, regardless of height. I didn't know you were touchy about that kind of thing - I admit, I wouldn't have guessed that about you.

Pretty sure everybody in this place is thirty years your junior.

[grandhighwizard]

Not true at all. [Iroh is older, and so is Dumbledore, of course.] Though there asre quite a few younger teachers, I must agree. It seems as though some sort of statement is being made. They never would have hired someone barely twenty, when I was a student here.

[smirks] But I can see it's made the place so much more ... lively.

[wwistful]

True enough!

[He scoffs.] Lively is one word for it! Don'tcha ever worry that we're all...terrible teachers?

[grandhighwizard]

Well, most of you are. [calmly, shrugging] There's nothing to worry about it, it's just a fact.

[wwistful]

[He slumps over his chair because that was a huge mood kill.] That's a horrible feelin'.

[grandhighwizard]

If it helps, you are one of the more competent instructors. You simply need to learn to control your mouth and your temper a bit better, as sad a day as that will be for me.

[wwistful]

I am? [He brightens a little before sinking back down.] Don't tell me what do to...to do.

[grandhighwizard]

I'm not telling you, I'm offering some friendly advice, lad. You'll do as you please, I'm sure, as I'm not an attractive woman telling you what to do. [smirks]

[wwistful]

Whazzat meant to mean? [Oooh, that's harsh Rhys.] I'm sure you clean up nice.

[grandhighwizard]

[Rhys's laughter often has a sort of undertone to it that says he's laughing very much at the person he's speaking to, but this time it's just genuine amusement in his chuckle.] Very kind of you to say so, though I'm not sure what you imagine 'cleaned up' is.

[wwistful]

[He stares at Rhys for a long moment.] I honestly couldn't imagine you'd look all too good in a dress.

[grandhighwizard]

I have been told I don't have the figure for it, no. [serenely] Even when I was a lad myself.

I grew up on a farm and hit my growth spurt rather young. Though obviously I didn't reach my adult height right away. [raises an eyebrow] You do seem fascinated with my size, Donoghue. Why is that?

[wwistful]

[Murdoc snorts in an utterly charming matter.] Glad we didn't go to school together, then.

'M not! Don't be stupid!

[grandhighwizard]

We wouldn't have been in the same House. [smiles] You have nothing to be insecure about, by the way. You're a perfectly respectable height.

[wwistful]

There's no way I'd be anythin' but Slytherin! [He looks so snooty about that.] I never said I was insecure! M'fine, I look great. At least I'm in proportion.

[grandhighwizard]

[ ... oh, too easy. Rhys will just smile wickedly.] So am I.

[wwistful]

Are you jokin'? Your hands are huge! [And Rhys is huge, Murdoc.]

[grandhighwizard]

As are my feet. And I am close to seven feet tall. How is this out of proportion?
