What's better than roleplaying? Roleplaying to make yourself a better person! Today, the teachers have to play out scenarios to help them think through what to do.

We're doing this sort of link a meme. Each teacher should have a comment and then a teacher will comment back with the scenario that they'll be playing out. The teacher who started the thread will be playing the teacher in each scenario. Use the random number generator to get your scenario and play it out. Each teacher is supposed to play something out with everyone, so try to tag everyone.


1. A student comes to you about a bullying problem.

2. You find two students fighting and have to safely put a stop to it.

3. A student is coming on to you.

4. What do you do when you catch a student cheating.

5. What do you do when the girls go wild with rumor spreading.

6. There's been a magical accident and a student has been hurt.

7. What do you do when you catch a student with drugs with drugs or alcohol.

8. What do you do when a fellow teacher is treating a student unfairly.

9. What do you do when two teachers are fighting.

10. What do you do when a student is being verbally or physically agressive towards you.

Is that really your response to discovering a student drinking? Asking them to poison themselves? [taps his chin] I'll have to remember that particular tactic - I usually prefer to imply I might do it in class.

I honestly wouldn't put it past you.

It's a standard disciplinary tool in Potions. [smiles] Are you saying you never allow a child to experience the ill effects of a miscast spell in Defense?

I'm sure it is. No wonder your students are terrified.

Threatened, perhaps, but I would never fool around with defensive spells.

I'd never noticed my students lived in fear of me. [Most of them don't, actually - Rhys is a pretty easy going teacher, all things considered. There are a few, though, maybe ones who have a better sense of people than others, who find him ... disquieting.] And I don't 'fool around'. I simply allow the children to experience natural consequences. None of them have died yet, though some of them certainly seem determined to.

Well, maybe you should pay more attention. [He folds his arms over his chest, disregarding the fact that he's never seen Rhys with his students or whilst teaching.]

And what makes you think I don't?

Instinct. [Bullshit.]

Ah, but you have very poor instincts when it comes to me. I wouldn't trust it.

[wwistful]

[Eyebrow raaaaaise.] Excuse me? What exactly have I done that displays a lack of instinct when it comes to you of all people?

[grandhighwizard]

You mean other than continually misread my motives, make poor guesses about my teaching style, and declare yourself that you don't, and have no wish to understand me?

Those aren't instinctual.
