WHAT:  After this Murdoc realised the children (and staff) of Hogwarts were in dire need of swimming lessons.
STATUS: Ongoing

[GATHER AROUND CHILDREN it's a warm summer day and the lake is perfect for diving into your sudden but inevitable deaths. You should all be dressed in your swimming trunks (which you clearly have don't even lie) because Murdoc sure is. He's determined to conduct this in the best manner he can, though he wasn't quite expecting the turn out to be so large. People who can swim are welcome to become his assistants because he could probably use the help.]

Well, there is that one show with those fighting cat people. It seems interesting though I have not caught too many episodes of it.

I think have seen that on the TV too.

[She didn't really like it because it looked painful to be punched and attacked that way, but she was too polite to say anything to Ka Lung.]

My favourite cartoon is "The Faraway Tree". It is about children finding a magic tree. There are fairies and pixies and Moon-face, who is a man with the face of a moon, and together they have adventures and discover new worlds.

I can't say I've heard of it. I will have to wait until Winter Break to watch it. Maybe I can search for it online.

It is drawn and coloured very prettily and I really like the magic inside it. I also like the food, they are very strange but very funny and they look like they will be nice to eat.

The food? What sort of food have they shown? If you describe it as strange is it nothing like you would find to eat anywhere?

[She pauses to think and remember, tilting her head to one side as she does so.]

There were Honey biscuits. And toffee that burst in your mouth so that's not very nice. And cream puffs that squeaked. I do not think I have seen food like that before. But I have yet to try all Wizard sweets, so maybe there are foods like that here.

Honey biscuits don't sound bad. [But he can definitely agree that the toffee wouldn't be any good? Unless of course you were trying to surprised someone. The cream puffs he thought could be cute.]

I don't remember coming across toffees or cream puffs like that. You know if no one has made things like that, perhaps we can.

[She perks up at the sound of that. Real Pop Biscuits and Google Buns and Toffee Shocks? Was that possible? Her eye grow round at the possibility.

Well, we're wizards. I am sure we can.

Of course we would have to check if they don't already exist. If they don't, I'll have a look at the show. I did say I would during winter break then I can find some recipes. Now the only thing that would probably give us trouble is enchanting them to do the things you described.

[That all sounds rather exciting! She can't help but let that big smile spread across her face because the idea of Pop Biscuits actually being real is very appealing to her.]

What can I do to help?

On our first Hogsmeade trip we should check Honeydukes to see that they don't have anything like them first. Actually if they do have anything similar it would be good to find out how they are made.

Wait, can you go to Hogsmeade this year?

[Oh. She needed to go there? Her face fell slightly as she shook her head.]

Well in that case I can make a note of the types of candy they stock. I can even bring you some things back. If you like that is.

A-ah! Y-you do not have to, it is ok! I have already asked Coraline for help to buy me candy. Thank you but it is alright, it will be rude of me to ask this of you.

You're not asking. I am offering. I like don't mind. I mean you should never say no to candy.

[He doesn't mind that is why he asked. Besides, it would help them achieve their goal by comparing the Honeydukes candy and if not it would be great to have a lot of sweet.]

But I'll definitely take notes on the candy.

N-no...but it seems impolite as we have only just met and I do not wish to be rude.

[She hesitates a moment, before she finally nods and smiles.]

OK. Thank you Ka Lung, that is very nice of you. I hope we will be able to create the sweets, they would be very interesting.

[He takes that to mean that she will at least consider it.]

It would be but it is going to be a lot of work. Still, I am sure we'll be able to achieve it in the end.

I will wait for your instructions then. I am still learning how to cast magic, so I may not be that good, but I will do what I can to help.

That's fine. I think I will have to do a bit of research in any case. I am not sure what sort of spells are used to enchant sweets anyway.
