WHAT: Tavros sent Karkat a brief, nervous little note telling him to meet him in the library.

[Tavros is in a very far back corner of the library at a small table. He's hunched over a book, though it's clear his attention isn't entirely on the book, because he keeps looking up every few seconds nervously, as if someone is about to jump out and yell at him. He really hopes Karkat manages to find him, he didn't specify where at in the library to meet him, and he certainly wasn't going to be found easily tucked away in the little corner he was in.]

[He's quiet for a few seconds.]

I wonder if, I can get him to tell me what's up... I mean, uh, I tell him almost everything, so... Maybe he'll do the same. [A part of him doesn't believe it, though. As naive as he may sound, he does know Gamzee tends to keep to himself.]

[Karkat kind of knew about Gamzee's little crush. Okay, maybe he hadn't been told outright but the so-called master of romance wasn't unfamiliar with the signs. He shrugs again, looking at the Hufflepuff next to him.]

Maybe you could. I'm sure he'd tell you more than he'd tell me if he's angry with me or anything.

I still don't, uh, understand why he would be upset with you... [Tavros sighs.] I wonder if, uh, something happened, Sunday? Are you sure that, you don't remember anything...?

[For a very brief moment Karkat considered telling Tavros, but he shrugged it off. If the other boy didn't remember it was probably because he didn't want to. Instead he shook his head.]

Nah. Nothing. Just the memory of waking up with my mouth tasting like ass and vowing never to smoke again.

Oh... hah, yeah. It doesn't, uh, taste very good the next day, does it? [He laughs lightly, though it's not very amused.] I was, too busy puking, though.

[He sighs again, wishing he knew what might have happened to upset Gamzee. But there was nothing he could do, so finally he shrugs.] Well, we'd better focus, um, on getting that hex off, and worry about other things later.

Do you even know what you're doing?

[Not that he wanted to throw Tavros off if he really wanted to help, but...well, he knew how bad the Hufflepuff was at spell casting sometimes. This could end up more disastrous than what he intended.]
