Ah, the sound of music. It's not always a pretty sound- definitely not. While there are plenty of good bands at the festival, there are also plenty of pretty awful ones trying to make it big. But that's okay, because it's still a good time! Look at all of those stages, look at all that festival food. Four days of music, fun and awesomeness! So walk around, enjoy the music, maybe enter the singing competition they have each day.
But wait! Even if you aren't musically inclined, guess what? Shortly after arriving, you begin to feel the sudden urge to sing, too, even if you might sound like a dying whale. Eventually the urge is going to get so great that you just have to break out into song. Or you might just sing randomly throughout the day, if you give into the feelings. It really depends on your willpower! Either way, you will sing. It looks like all the spells used to make this happen have had unintended side-effects.
That won't stop you from having fun though, right?

[Something about this little coincidence seems to relax her considerably. Maybe they do have something in common after all? In any case, they'll look quite spiffy together, and Jane can't say she'd be adverse to a cute carnival-esque date with a boy who dressed to match her. Even if it wasn't intentional. Even if it isn't one of the boys she'd been hoping for. Even if her father will probably never totally approve. Maybe she'll turn into one of those girls who finds that fact thrilling!]
Did you have anything in particular in mind, Mr. Giovanni? Or shall we just go for a stroll?

I have a few ideas, but I figure I'd let you pick what you wanna do. I can't say I'm much of a festival person, to be perfectly honest. [He pulls a face before offering her an arm.] We can stroll, maybe we'll figure something out on the road.

I don't mind strolling for a while. I like fairs and the like, but I don't know much about wizard music, when it comes down to it. I'm sure I'd enjoy a concert and all, but I don't have any favorites. Do you?
sorry for the delay, shit be cray rn
[He nods along, kind of rambling due to the incredible nerves that the girl seems to give him.] Uh. Stupefy'd ain't half bad. What're you into? Rock? Hard Rock? Metal?
no worries, i've been settling into my new grad school stuff myself
I like just about anything. Dirk and Dave have introduced me to some bands, but I suppose I've never gotten as attached as they tend to.
[She glances at him, frowning a little at how...rattled he seems. Is she doing something wrong?]
We could get some candy floss first, though. My dad gave me a little extra pocket money for that sort of thing anyway.

That's easy, then. We can just head on over to whatever stage sounds the best. [He gives her a lazy shrug, seeming to calm a little. Though he is quick to wave her off at the mention of money.]
Fuggedaboutit, doll. I'm the gentleman, right? I'll handle it. [He can't help grinning a little, scoping out a stall and making a bee line for it.]

Hoo hoo hoo, are you some sort of muggle gangster? I mean, I know I don't use the most hip lingo but, hoo hoo hoo. Fuggedaboutit! [She snickers into her hand.]
no subject
What? No! Why're you making fun of my dialect? [He folds his arms over his chest.] You keep talking like that you might not get that floss o' yours.

Thank you. And I think you might have to prove the coolness to me. I haven't really gotten the full effect yet.

[She blinks and then makes a small "oh!" noise and begins eating, sighing happily as the sugar melts on her tongue.]
Oh, I think they did something to make it taste like all the flavors at once. How strange. I'm fairly certain I like it, though. [She holds it out to him.] Try some too?
