Ah, the sound of music. It's not always a pretty sound- definitely not. While there are plenty of good bands at the festival, there are also plenty of pretty awful ones trying to make it big. But that's okay, because it's still a good time! Look at all of those stages, look at all that festival food. Four days of music, fun and awesomeness! So walk around, enjoy the music, maybe enter the singing competition they have each day.

But wait! Even if you aren't musically inclined, guess what? Shortly after arriving, you begin to feel the sudden urge to sing, too, even if you might sound like a dying whale. Eventually the urge is going to get so great that you just have to break out into song. Or you might just sing randomly throughout the day, if you give into the feelings. It really depends on your willpower! Either way, you will sing. It looks like all the spells used to make this happen have had unintended side-effects.

That won't stop you from having fun though, right?

[He'd managed to resist the urge thus far. Day one, he might've hummed along or something, but he never outright sang. He was too damn cool for that shit. He was there to listen to music- and attempt to perform himself. Only instead of singing, he was dropping the beats with some magical DJ equipment. It's going great! The only problem is the more he makes those sick beats, the more he thinks they need words.

And suddenly, without even thinking about it, he's moving to pick up the microphone and belting out-]

CAN'T READ MY, CAN'T READ MY, NO YOU CAN'T READ MY POKER FACE!

[Dirk doesn't mind hanging around to hear Bro drop some sick beats on his turntables. In fact, for a while he even thinks about joining him in it, because there's no better team to DJ together than a Strider team. In fact, he's just about to do it when Bro abandons the equipment and heads for the microphone.

As soon as he hears what Bro is singing, he starts practicing a poker face of his own, and moving toward the edges of the crowd.]

[Bro sings a few more lines of the verse, both confused as to why he feels the sudden need to sing, and yet getting heavily into it. It's not long after that he spots Dirk- it's pretty easy to see that hair in a crowd. He splits into a grin and breaks off from the verse he's singing and- speaking directly into the microphone, to boot, draws a shitton of attention onto Dirk.]

Dirk, hey Dirk! [Complete with a magical spotlight on the younger Strider.] Get your ass up here!

[In this situation, there are a few courses of action Dirk could take. He could refuse to acknowledge that he's the one being called out. He could give in immediately and go up on stage.

He doesn't do either of these, of course. What he does do is flip Bro off.]

[Guuuuurl... He will not stand for this. So you know what? He's reaching for his wand and flicking it at Dirk. A second later, an invisible force is tugging him towards the stage.]

Come on, give'em a hand. [And the crowd cheers him on.]

[Damn. And here he thought he could escape. He should have known better. At least Bro didn't come down and get him personally. He doesn't resist the force- if he knew a counter-spell he definitely would, but he doesn't. When he gets to the stage, he mutters under his breath to Bro.]

You are dead to me.

[Bro just gives him the biggest grin that was ever grinned. He may not be able to control the singing, but he can at least control how much of a dick he is, and he's pretty okay with being a dick in this regard.]

You'll be alright, Dirky.

[It's said so only Dirk can hear him, before he's shoving the microphone in his face.]

Take it away, Baby Gaga.

[If looks could kill, Bro would have been in the furthest pits of hell.

As it is, Dirk's just going to start singing Telephone. It may or may not be a pointed message.]

[Oh, Telephone. Dirk, you're not subtle at all. He lets him sing for a moment, before he just randomly cuts in with a verse out of Poker Face, singing right over Dirk and stealing the spotlight.]

[That's perfectly fine with him. He's not going to medley it up here, so he's fine with Bro bursting in. It just means that he'll stop singing.]

[Dave isn't sure whether to laugh or cry. Just. Bro why?

Maybe he should counteract the Lady Gaga with something just as annoyingly catchy....]

[When he spots Dave, he points at him dramatically as he sings the next part;]

WANNA HOLD 'EM LIKE THEY DO IN TEXAS PLAYS...

[She was enjoying all the music too. But here's Bro, ruining everything. That is the face of your daughter who is 1000% done with you, Bro.

She is making a beeline to...who knows. Off into the sunset.] I'm going home. [Goodbye friends. She is gone.]

[Ruining it? No, I think you mean making it better. He is a fucking beast at this song, Rose. You have no idea just how good he sounds right now, like damn. Listen to him belt out those lyrics.

But he stops in the middle of it, catching sight of Rose trying to make a beeline.]

Rose! Where d'you think you're goin'?

Going home. I have been so deeply humiliated that I cannot recover from such an experience I have just witnessed. My shame burns so deep that I think I may be burning to a crisp.

I need time to recover before dealing with such embarrassment again. [You're embarrassing her, dad.]

Damn, you're overreacting. [He's just going to flick his wand and make an invisible force pull her towards the stage.] You ain't going anywhere, Rose. You're gonna get up here and you're gonna sing with me.
