Good afternoon, students and staff! We open on what is sure to be an gut-wrenchingly exciting match between two staff teams, representing the combined houses of Gryffindor and Ravenclaw, and Slytherin and Hufflepuff! The winning team will gain one hundred and fifty points for their respective houses, so cheer loudly, folks! A little encouragement can go a long way, and from the looks of things they need all the help they can get!

Let's hope this is a clean match-- oh, who am I kidding, there's nothing like seeing our professors and assorted staff rip into each other. Professor Rhydderch is looking imposing at one end of the pitch, the Slytherpuff keeper is already shifting nervously, and I really can't say I blame them! I'd be shuffling nervously on my broom if he was looking at me like that, too.

Gryffinclaw take the quaffle, with Professor Bonnefoy speeding down the pitch-- wow, look at him go! That guy can pull a turn. Not sure about that catch, but he's got it. Passing to Professor Sun-- he fumbles the pass! Professor Sun's living up to his position as our flying prof with that catch, and he's making a beeline for the goals! Professor Ampora is hot on his tail, Sun shakes him, shoots-- SAVED! We're still at nil-nil, but that was a close one. We should have known they'd this would happen with Wesley Sun on the team, that's a top-class flyer if I ever did see one.

Ms. Maryam is flanking Professor Ampora now as he takes the quaffle, no doubt to protect him from any wandering bludgers-- is anyone except me wondering how the nurse ended up as a beater of all things? No? No. Alrighty then. No one is wondering how Professor Bunnymund ended up with that position as he catches a bludger at mid-field, sending it flying towards Gryffinclaw chaser Bonnefoy, who-

MERLIN'S PATCHED UNDERPANTS, HE ALMOST FELL OFF HIS BROOM. Our muggle studies professor just let out the most undignified sound I have ever heard a human make and is now HANGING FROM HIS BROOMSTICK, TWENTY FEET ABOVE THE PITCH! He's lost his bat somewhere in the stands, Sun is moving over to help him, but that caused a well-timed distraction for Professor Ampora and he scores, dodging past Rhydderch and sending the quaffle through the centre goal! This match is hotting up, folks, and our staff aren't pulling any punches.

Slytherpuff takes possession once again, Maryam hitting a bludger straight in the direction of Gryffinclaw's keeper! It takes takes him in the shoulder, sending him into a brief spin that's quickly controlled by some nifty broom work. Only a brief distraction for our intrepid potions master, but it allows a second goal to sneak in for Slytherpuff, taking our score to 20 - 10! Oh dear, Professor Rhydderch is looking a little annoyed at that tactic!

The view from up here is beautiful, folks, really stunning, but you know I didn't become the commentator just for the spectacular view of the pitch! Or did I? We'll never know. They're not even paying me for this.

Professor Bonnefoy's looking a bit shaken by that near-fall, and he's taking up the rear while the Gryffinclaw chasers head for goal once again. There's some fast passing going on here, Wesley Sun looking at the top of his game. If I'm not too much mistaken, he was the keeper for the Gryffindor team back in his school days. There's another piece of useless information that no one needed to know, but take heart, fellow students, for the exams are finally over!

Slytherpuff has the quaffle once again, via a beautiful intercept by one of their chasers, but what's this? The seekers are shifting position-- and Professor Strider's seen the snitch! Previously our flying professor before he switched to magical languages, he's handling that broomstick like a pro! Slytherpuff's chaser is after him, but not quickly enough, and there's a last minute goal from Slytherpuff but it's not enough because PROFESSOR STRIDER HAS THE SNITCH! He's rising from centre-field like he's holding aloft a fluttering golden trophy and I have never seen such a majestic sight.

The match ends with a score of 160 - 30, and congratulations to Gryffindor and Ravenclaw houses! Here's hoping that the Slytherpuff team doesn't have their tempers soured by the loss, or it's going to be a rough final two weeks for our student body. Thanks for coming, folks, and the last days of term! Join us again for the finals between Ravenclaw and Gryffindor!
