WHAT: Jane takes a break from studying. Kind of.

Okay, looming exams? Maybe getting to Jane, just a little. So much so that she’s settled high atop the astronomy tower at night with her journal and sketchbook, half doodling, half studying, half thinking. Her mind is ever in the stars, or so Erik says. That will never change.

Even Jane realized when she needed a break though, and her textbooks, while certainly within reach, are closed and in her bag. She’s leaning back on her hands, head tipped up as the moon douses her in soft light, eyes closed.

She’s just asking to be pestered, isn’t she.

With the exception of Bruce. Tony never really been able to deal with his roommates for long stretches of time, and with all his homework, and exam prep done, and his projects all at a current stand still Tony decides that it's late enough for him to take a stroll undisturbed.

Taking something to snack on, Tony finds himself wandering up to the Astronomy tower because height has always been an enjoyment of his, even if it hasn't been blessed to him genetically. Finding Jane relaxing up there he wanders over, offering his bag of cherries.

"You know, we sleep in a tower. So you don't have to nest up here. Or are we waiting for a masked lover to swoop in on a white" He looks around and remembers they're in a tower "Uh. Winged horse, to take you off to see the world all in one tidy duet that you also happen to know?"

By now, Thor knows where to find Jane when he cannot see her wandering the halls or enjoying meals with the rest of her house. With a castle this huge and them being in different houses, it's not as if he's constantly bumping into her. HOWEVER, he's both found her and been invited up here to see the stars enough to notice the trend.

Of course, he doesn't actually have a particular reason to be looking for her. He doesn't have a pressing question or something to tell her, sometimes there's just a passing thought in his head that tells him he wants to see Jane and very often he acts on it.

He's not quite as he thuds up the stairs, hell he's making so much noise you'd think they were herding cows up here. Jane will probably not be surprised when he pokes his head in and beams at her, proud of himself for finding her.

"Jane! I knew I'd find you here!" Now he's going to trot over and flop himself down next to her without inviting himself.

She heard Tony before she saw him so by the time he comes into view, the element of surprise is gone and she’s expecting someone.

“Hi, Tony.”

Jane absently reaches over to snag one of the cherries, nibbles it, then flicks the stem at him.

“Hardly. Taking a break. You?”

She’s not surprised at all when his face appears around the corner, followed quickly by the rest of his body. He’s not a quiet person; his presence is easily announced and welcomed.

Jane still gets easily flustered around him, though.

“Thor. I didn’t know you were looking for me.” Or she might have told him, or invited him…or something. She’s a little distracted by the whump he creates when he flops down beside her.

I'll take that to mean you're pleased then?

[arrogantalloy]

He pulls a face at her as she flicks the stem and it hits him.

"Wow, that's. Like, so mature. I can't believe you just attacked me with fruit I gave you. Is this why you don't have a horse? Keep looking in their mouths or something."

As much as it sounds like he's complaining he sits down neck to her.

"Well, you could say that. I share a room with Herbert, Sherlock, and Alec. And really there's only so much teen brooding you can tolerate when it's not yours. Not that Sherlock's brooding, but he's ... Well he's Sherlock."

Very /bounces around

"That was hardly an attack." She's chuckling a little anyway, and scooting to make room for him.

"Mhm. I know what you mean." She sets the notebook she was holding to the side and leans back, palms flat. "Can I have another cherry?"

Not that this pleases me at all.

[arrogantalloy]

"Hardly and attack? I'm bleeding because of you, look" He pulls out his shirt slightly to show a slight almost stain from where the cherry used to hang from the stem. "If I die, it's all on you."

Not that he knows he's hamming this all up.

He plops the bag down between them opening up the bag more for easy access.

"You say you know, but you don't have to wake up with one judging you, one staring at you expectantly and one waiting to start a sarcasm battle most mornings. It's bad enough I don't have regular rights to coffee here."

“Well, that’s true. No one is really watching me sleep.” That she knows of.

Jane desperately, desperately tries to smother the giggle that bubbles up, but she’s pretty unsuccessful.

“I can get that out, I bet.” She’s obtaining another cherry for herself first, though. “Want me to try?”

He grins at her giggling.

"You can try, but I have really good lawyers that specialise in fruit based manslaughter. So cute smile or not, you're going down. But hey, if you're nice to me in my last hours, I might write into my will that a life time maintaining my grave will be punishment enough. If you're going to kill me, you might as well be saddled with keeping me beautiful to those who will visit. And don't forget, I'm kind of famous in the muggle world, so that'll be a lot of people to keep my stone good for."

[rosenbridges]

Good heavens Tony talks a lot.

"Famous?" Jane innocently asks, pulling her wand from her pocket. "I'm not sure what you mean, exactly..."

A soft, murmured spell and hopefully te little red blotch will disappear.

[arrogantalloy]

That's what happens when you don't cut in to make him shoosh.

"You know, something about having my name attached to a multi-national corporation that caters to muggles and wizards alike."

Tony's too busy talking to actually notice the splotch leave his shirt.

Yes, yes she is.

Bruce has come up for a bit of peace and quiet, still too pale after the last full moon and looking a bit tired. He's not that surprised to find someone else there, least of all Jane, so he just smiles wanly when he sees her. "Hey Jane. Fancy seeing you up here."

"Oh...I hadn't noticed." She's teasing him as she leans back, pleased with her work. Pocketing the wand, she helps herself to another cherry.

"What kind of business is it? Donut factory?"

Well, if it helps balance the situation any, for all that Jane gets flustered, Thor tends to get ridiculously over enthusiastic around her. He has a mighty need to impress her, particularly since she impresses him so often.

"I didn't know I was either." He answers with a small grin, giving her a side look. "I supposed you might be up here and all of a sudden I decided to visit you!" He leans back, bracing his palms on the floor behind him so he can look at the stars too.

[arrogantalloy]

"Oh, cute, no really you're being cute right now. And ignoring the fact I like donuts, why even pick donuts? Wait, I'm not coming off as the Pillsbury dough boy, am I?"

He looks sarcastic at first then looks down at himself. Since being with bruce he eats fairly regularly now, and really doesn't need Sherlock noticing and making wiseass comments about domestic life suiting him.

"Hey, Bruce."

She smiles up at him when he appears, and gestures.

"Want some tea...?" It's easy enough to heat it back up.

"Well, I'm glad you did."

Okay, definitely blushing now, and she busies herself with opening and closing and opening and closing a notebook.

"Oh, that'd be great yeah." Grinning, Bruce comes closer and sits a bit away from her. "What're you doing up here?"

She snorts. Oh Tony, worrying about his appearance. Jane herself has her hair pulled back into a ponytail and lacks any makeup.

"Of course not. Don't be silly." Jane waves a hand dismissively. "And even if you were so what?"

Sure, Steve needed to study his Astronomy, but really he just wanted to get away from his dorm and breathe. He makes his way up the Astronomy tower with his notes and sketchbook in hand, doing his level best to not think of Transmutations and spells against all manner of dark creatures, while his familiar (a huge, fluffy cat) is close at his heels. When he sees Jane, he feels for a second like he's intruding, but he's made it this far, no need to leave now.

Unless she asks that is.

"You look like you found a good spot," he smiles coming to sit near by her, but by no means crowding into her space, his familiar keeping post by the stairs, "catching some moon before the night is out?" He's aware it's a bad joke, didn't stop him though.

Poor boy's vain, can you blame him?

He flattens out the front of his shirt and glances at her.

"Because summer's coming up, which means a week in New York, in front of the papers. Everyone loves to find something to talk about when it comes to Howard Stark's boy." Then there's a pause. "And well, Summer also means swimwear, and you know what, I've been working on my four pack, and I really don't want to lose it."

[rosenbridges]

"Looking at the stars, studying..." She passes him over a cup. "Thinking about the universe."

[rosenbridges]

"Mhm. Moon and stars. It's nice up here."

She smiles at him when he sits, eyes crinkling around the corners.

"What about you?"

"Studying for Astronomy class," but then Steve chuckles and smiles at her, "but the real answer? Getting away from the dorms and taking a break from studying. I'll probably study astronomy later," he pats the notebook full of everything he could or needs to study, "but right now my brain feels like jelly."

[rosenbridges]

Jane laughs a little at that, because it's a sentiment that she's sure everyone shares at some point -- both the brain jelly, and the need for 'air'.

"You know I can help you with it, if you need me to." She indicates his notebook with a quill. "It's one of my best subjects."
