WHAT: Canon selves event! A seance gone awry has had its effect on the school, bringing about mental and physical changes to students and staff alike! Full details of the combinations of effects can be found here.

[Spring brings change, but that change isn't always a good thing! Whether your character has changed entirely into their canon self, or only in part, please keep in mind that whatever they know/learn of their original canon during this event will be unable to be clearly recalled - disappearing with their past self - when the event is over. This is to avoid fourth-walling after the conclusion of the event.

Please also keep in mind that some people will not want to fourth-wall during the event! Make sure it's alright with the other player before you decide to do that. Above all, though, have fun!]

Oh, no. Trolls are actually quite an advanced race. We have misconceptions due to what we were raised by, but the trolls I've met are lovely, if not a little odd. Grey skin and horns are kind of odd, but you get used to them. [She's so confused right now.]

I don't look anythin' like a troll, thank you very much. If anythin' I'm some form of fish. See here? [He points a clawed finger at a fin as it wiggles.] I've also got gills, I've never seen a troll with gills.

[He exhales loudly, can you tell he's over this? All of the sighing, honestly.]

I don't generally look like this. I'm normally a human, only magically inclined. A wizard. You're at Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry and you are indeed a student here.

Oh no! Trolls are of a race of another universe. It sounds quite farfetched, but I've been traveling with a few for quite a bit now. I think you make for a lovely troll though, and I have been taught that those that fall in the ranks of seadwellers are highest on the spectrum.

[She looks positively perplexed.]

I...I think you must have the wrong person. I grew up in New York and only recently have had magic when I started playing a ridiculous game.

I do enjoy the genre, but it was never a reality until a year ago.

You're Rose Lalonde, your father is Di-... Bro Strider and your brothers are Dave and Dirk Strider. I am also lead to believe you have a sister named Roxy.

You've been studyin' magic for some time now, you are incredibly talented, for that matter. I would imagine this is some sort of magical mishap. It tends to happen quite often.

Uh. [Oh yes. Eloquent, but she's weirded out.] Now I am pretty sure that we're talking about a different Rose with too coincidental of names. I'm related to Dave by DNA, but you must be confused. Roxy is my daughter. Or from my point of view, she is also my mother. [Ah yes. Did that make sense? She thinks that makes sense.] Paradoxical time and space has caused quite a bit of trouble, but she was my mother from my own world, but I am hers from her own. Do you know much about alternate universes?

I'm afraid not. Your appearance and manner of speaking are precisely as they should be. Only your memories seem to have been altered, but then, so are both Bro and Dirk's. As I said, they were quite quick to wield swords in my general direction. [He sighs, somewhat dejectedly.]

Bro? As in Dave's brother? [She seems rather taken aback by that information.] He's alive here? That is some news to me. [And Dirk is here. Maybe she'll try looking for him.]

I wouldn't go as far to write you off as one. It's more like we must both be from alternative universes. It would explain why you may know me, but I have little to no knowledge as to who you are. It would explain why your appearance is that I am familiar with that I can tell you what species you have become.
