WHAT: Canon selves event! A seance gone awry has had its effect on the school, bringing about mental and physical changes to students and staff alike! Full details of the combinations of effects can be found here.
STATUS: Ongoing! Use whichever style you like.

[Spring brings change, but that change isn't always a good thing! Whether your character has changed entirely into their canon self, or only in part, please keep in mind that whatever they know/learn of their original canon during this event will be unable to be clearly recalled - disappearing with their past self - when the event is over. This is to avoid fourth-walling after the conclusion of the event.

Please also keep in mind that some people will not want to fourth-wall during the event! Make sure it's alright with the other player before you decide to do that. Above all, though, have fun!]

[He turns at hearing his name spoken and smiles when he sees that it's a pretty lady. He floats closer and then hesitates a moment when he notices that she smells like a vampire. She wasn't like any vampire he'd ever seen before though. He smiled anyways.]

That's my name gorgeous. And who might you be?

[Gorgeous? Well, it's been a while since someone introduced themselves to her like that. Yet again, it seems, she's going to have to keep an eye on Marshall while he doesn't remember who he is.]

My name is Dolores. Do you know where you are?

[He floats down until he's eye level to her.]

Dolores. That's pretty. I'm Marshall Lee the Vampire King. [He shakes his head.] Nope. I've never seen this place before.
[He eyes her in a thoughtful way.]
I've also never seen a vampire like you before. You look almost human.

[She just gives a soft chuckle. It's so odd to hear him talking that way. 'Vampire King' indeed?]

I have found that most vampires do. It helps us to blend in.

[As does.. not floating.]

[Now he looks confused.]
No, most vampires look like me. Not that I see very many of either humans OR vampires.
[He leans back and reclines in mid air.]
Maybe you can help me. I seem to have just suddenly..appeared here. Do you know where here is?

[She's not going to argue with that, evidently this is part of what's been going on and to say he's wrong would only cause confusion. That floating, though.. that's quite impressive.]

This is a school, for the education of those possessing magical talent.

[He starts a little at what she tells him.]

A school? For magic? Huh. I thought there was only one in Aaa. I don't know why I'd be at a school. I do magic on my own..I never had to go to school for it.

[He suddenly morphs his face into that of a scary bat-like creature and sticks his tongue out.]

[She blinks in mild surprise, but after the things she's seen today, that's hardly enough to visibly startle her.]

I see. I think, Marshall, you may find that you have been slightly.. displaced.

[He's actually rather impressed that she doesn't flinch. Even Fionna had looked shocked when she had first seen him transform. He morphs back into himself and lands on the ground and gives an almost apologetic smile.]

I'm starting to think the same thing. How about you tell me the name of this land and this place and I'll tell you where I'm from. Maybe then we can figure something out?

[Ah, now that's much better. He looks much more like the young man she knows when he's not floating and pulling faces.]

This is Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and I believe that I may have an idea of how you arrived here.

[He listens intently and his eyebrows go up a little more as she goes on.]

A school? For witches and wizards? Yeah, they definitely don't have those where I come from. There are witches and wizards but they don't go to school for it. [He looks sad for a moment.] Some people get their powers from ancient artifacts and some are born with them.
[He sighs a tired sounding sigh and sits down in mid-air.]
Visiting other realms isn't new to me but there's something about this one that just makes me feel off. If you can tell me how I got here that would be great. Then maybe we can find a way to send me home.
[He looks a little sheepish.]
I can't pay you or anything for your help but I promise that I'll owe you a favor sometime in the future and I'm always good for my word.

[Even like this, it seems he's still more or less the same. That's comforting, in a way. At least she has a good idea of how to deal with him in a way that isn't going to spook him or confuse him too much.]

Oh, dear, you don't have to pay me, I'm happy to help you.

[They just seem to keep owing each other favours, don't they?]

Come along with me, we can sit down and talk.

Really? No catch huh? That's nice of you.

[He nods, lands on the ground and begins following her.]

Sooo...do you mind if I ask what you do here? Um, assuming you're actually from this place and all.

Aha, I am.. I'm a nurse here. The amount of trouble one can get themselves into using magic is simply astonishing.

Oh I believe it. I've had quite a few incidents involving magic happen to me in my lifetime.
